@chilternrailway We hear that due to engineering works next week, and no trains on GWR to and from Oxford, you are able to add carriages to some of your services. How is this possible when you say that on any other week you do not have additional rolling stock?
@chiltrain@Jose_Whon@chilternrailway@emma_brierley@Mister_XP Unfortunately not. Just a painfully slow process, whilst customers kept in the dark with a terrible service. I have moved to GWR from Maidenhead. Nothing is perfect but at least you get 12 carriages!
@chiltrain@chilternrailway Got a reply. No new rolling stock before 2026 at the earliest and subject to DfT approval of a satisfactory business case…Meetings taking place every 4 weeks. The wait continues
@chiltrain@chilternrailway Will have a full update now very soon and will post exact details of all these meetings between Chiltern and DfT and we will find out time lines for new rolling stock (if any!) For me, I have moved to GWR from Maidenhead to London as 12 carriages and you always get a seat!
@chiltrain@chilternrailway Had no reply from DfT on my Freedom of Information request-so had to get the Information Commisioners Office on the case to chase as there is a legal requirement to respond. Dft said they had not received by letter but back tracked when I provided recorded delivery evidence.
@chilternrailway Good to know. Could we have some clear station announcements next time. I really feel for anyone with disabilities trying to travel on your ‘service’
@chilternrailway How is the line looking for a ‘normal’ service tomorrow morning early doors 10th Feb. Would be good to know now if engineering works are over-running so we can use another line. Thank you
@chilternrailway Really enjoying your ‘service’ this week and thoroughly enjoyed the 20 mins filling out the delay repay multiple question online form. What have you got in store for us tomorrow for us to waste our lives on?!
