So let me get this straight, everyone for the past 60 years has learned that Hitler was the leader of the Nationalist Socialist Party (NAZI) and believed he was a socialist. Now, a certain party wants to equate the likeness of Hitler to a certain person. For the rest of us we know that that person is not a socialist. That person that they want to demean is very much a capitalist so it makes no sense.
Then they tell us the person is Hitler because both are fascist. They redefine Hitler and say he was not socialist but an authoritarian dictator who coopted industry for total control and extreme nationalism. But that confuses the rest of us even more. The person they are trying to demean is reducing government control and regulations on industry, which seems like the opposite of a fascist.
Then they tell us, well that person is like Hitler because they are both racist and nationalist. But they leave out the part where Hitler tied nationalism with racism, that to be in the nation you must be of the superior race. That person they intend to demean is certainly a nationalist, and is proud of the country, and proud to be a citizen of the country, and promotes the idea that all citizens of the country are equal because we are citizens, not because of race. All races, religions, gender or income level are equal under the US flag.
This is all to explain how Elon's highlight of democrats logic shows that the logic is NOT anything like logic at all. It is irrational and only meant to evoke an emotional response of hatred.

Humans can never fully understand existence. Its the drive to find purpose and meaning in life that compels them to seek the answer to this question. So, a person who derives meaning from technology will be more likely to believe in the Simulation, and a person who believes in God will accept the 6 out 7 day creation story. A person who believes in the Big Bang gets their meaning from their local social bubble (family) and are willing to accept what they are told by "science".
Simulation or not, what does it matter? Are we able to manipulate it with our knowledge? Are we able to manifest things into our lives under either model of existence?

UHI makes people dependent on the government. How about a decentralized version of this? Provide everyone the means the produce whatever they want or need. Make the system rely on personal effort rather than just membership, this would contribute to giving meaning to a persons life.

@DJSnM Its a lofty goal but is it possible? It seems like SpaceX gets the business because the rest of the industry cant keep up, including NASA itself. I think this will only serve to throttle the numbers of launches that NASA can do, not the numbers that SpaceX can do.

There is not ONE prediction that Al Gore talked about 40 years ago that has come true. The Arctic has not melted, the sea has not risen and put New York underwater, the Polar Bears are thriving. And by the way, most forest fires are man made, not do to the scam of climate change.
