I’ve been playing around with some #’s this week, trying to find some college metrics that correlate to WR success at the NFL level.
I combined a few metrics- YRR, YAC/R, and Missed Tackles Forced per Catch. Other metrics factored in were aDoT and Route Running Grade (PFF). ⤵️
#Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw on the new-look defense:
"We got some motherf***ers now. Excuse my language. Sh*t, Oweh he can go. Sh*t, Omenihu can go. Sh*t, K'Lavon can go. Sh*t, Tim Settle can go. Sh*t, D-Wise, you know he can go..."

@jmthrivept@CoachspeakIndex Can’t go wrong bargain hunting. People really were so low on him after the second tear (and rightfully so). Always take swings on injury especially for younger players.
Here's every individual metric against our 6-tier dynasty outcome.
With 315 players, two metrics reach significance:
Broad jump (+0.174, p=0.002)
Speed score (+0.166, p=0.003).
Bench press is flat. Vertical is noise.
The combine measures a lot, but most of it doesn't matter for fantasy.
@GandalfStaff This is about how I felt. Awesome defensive draft and I didn’t mind the RBs sprinkled in. But holy cow, the pass catchers are so thin. And we didn’t do much in FA to address it, either. Smh
If this is truly the end of Kansas City’s spending in free agency it would be hard to give it anything better than like a B-, secondary is gutted but will be fixed, WR core is still really bad, TE room is Kelce and a few non NFL players, edge room is GK and a few non NFL players, LB core is really bad, just way to many needs to hit still with legit options that were still available in which they decided not to pursue
