@ruthbenghiat The US will see declining influence in the ME. As Iran and the Houthis tighten their grip on SOH and SBM, and begin to strangle Gulf Region economies, these countries will be forced to cast aside US relations in favor of preferred transit status with Iran. Trump has lost.

@KyivPost I wish this were true. However, I do not trust Trump particularly when there are family interests at stake. Russia has well-documented interests in Trump properties and buildings. He will not jeopardize those holdings.

@BarakRavid OK, so the SBM will now close (and everybody loses). The military plan should first seek to place maximum pressure on Iran - as the regional enabler - before going after the bit players. The Saudi effort will dilute resources that could have been applied on Iran.

@mattia_n Combat power can only be delivered through effective logistics. In fact, an army in the field requires logistics to survive. The Russian army is on a path of no return.
