When you look at my profile and ask yourself "why did we let this psychotic man have social media?", remember to ask yourself if you netted "two drops of water" to put out the global dumpster fire over your lifetime.
The people that blocked me sure as hell didn't...
@blind_via Anyway, the gap in performance between 70B and 1T actually isn't that big in the context of the needs of private individuals if you are organized and know how too phrase questions clearly. The benchmarks exagerate differences in capabilities greatly.
400B models would take using all of my computers and the 8 gpu spread across them as well as cpu resources but I could run one at 1 token per second if I had to.
This is why frontier models are getting more and more paywalled. It is getting to the point where it is no longer feasible for their business to get wrecked by open weight models. For now, anyway.
@failed_testing@ShamashAran Unfortunately, that line is easy to manipulate in practice. It is a poor legal line but good philisophical line if you reject mental gymnastics.
Your criteria is somewhere between embryo and before the fetal stage at 9 weeks. Which is effectively rejecting all abortion.
@Robotbeat I mean, it depends on the cycles of concentration the cooling water runs at if it isn't once through. If they are discharging non-potable water quality, that is entirely the fault of the state though. Running high cycles of concentration is entirely regulation driven.
@MadScientist_42@esrtweet@Grummz I've mostly done decision tree based stuff, granted. What exactly does being an ML researcher mean to you and why should anyone respect it on this topic.
Those correct prompts can't be standardized either. Creating a pattern for prompting that the AI can latch onto in and of itself is a problem that evokes the stochastic parrot thing. The page or so of necessary context to not be a mindless parrot tends to need to be tailored to the exact topic of discussion, just as it needs to be with the average human... because... it is mimicking the output of the average human in the training data.
I mean, that's because it is trained to speak as a reddit user with google search for finding infinite stack overflow examples with the way the average user prompts it.
Correct prompts exist to make it do more but it will always try to default to stochastic parrot autocomplete for computational efficiency because the labs aggressevely train that in.
The big thing is that you overestimate what the average human is, not that AI is some magic box of wisdom and protoconsciousness. This very much is what the average redditor's review would look like.
In short, your client's manager sucks at using AI and someone (that's not you) needs to tell him.
If it ever has an impact, it will probably be related to cold fusion. It has had no impact as of yet and there is no evidence currently that it ever will.
If it never does, it likely means we didn't disciver what we think we discovered. Just possibly a set of unusual quasi particles.
To put it simply, there is a finite current moving in the superconductor. The voltage (energy of the charge carrier) is just decoupled from the rate of flow of the charge carriers.
Charge movement inside and current on the other side is only driven by the current recieved at the interface. Average energy of the electrons is preserved so the voltage is the same on both sides of the interface.
As I said, I'm not doing this, because again... you are not that dumb.
You are well versed on this guy and know exactly what he has and hasn't said but care more about "winning" than anything else. You are going to side step anything I say because you know about it all already.
You just don't want to talk about it unless forced to. It doesn't suit your position just as him being a literal Nazi doesn't suit your position.
Winning isn't, in fact, everything.
@DogHydra25@David_N_Frank@eigenrobot You're not that dumb and I'm not gonna have this discussion with you because I know you aren't that dumb.
Don't debase yourself carrying water for these people and defending a literal Nazi just to toe the party line. (Whether former or current) That's all I have to say on it.
You could cool your entire house almost a solid 15 degrees if you have two 14,000 btu (round about) window units though. Assuming it is less than 2100 square feet. It just sucks power.
Might need some fans to blow air around too. If smart about where you put them, you might be able to keep it cooler.
