It's a pity that today in TN there are leaders who even question the link of Vande Mataram with our land and culture. In 1907, Bharathiyar translated Bankim Chandra's Vande Mataram, with a notable revised stanza published in his pamphlet Swadesa Gitankal. As a journalist and editor of journals like India and Vijaya, he promoted Vande Mataram. Bharatiyar's song "Vande Mataram enbom" became a an anthem in Tamil Nadu, often used in protests. There’s this strange assumption going around — if someone votes against #DMK , #ADMK and chooses Vijay’s #TVK, they are politically ignorant and just cult fans !!

I watched @Senthilvel79's video claiming Dravidian parties built Tamil Nadu’s IT industry.

Let’s be real, that’s only half the story. Yes, they played a role in expanding infrastructure and policies. But the foundation was laid long before and the IT boom came from liberalisation and global demand. TN’s growth is a combined effort across decades, not a monopoly of any one party.

Now coming to elections.

Elections are NOT a lifetime achievement award. They are a report card every 5 years. Your past glory is not a license to rule forever.

You don’t get to say “we built this” and expect votes for the next 500 years. People have the right to ask What have you delivered NOW Where is Tamil Nadu heading NEXT?

No party owns Tamil Nadu. The power belongs to the people and it must be earned again, every single term.

Tamil Nadu stands at a rare inflection point.

For over 50 years, politics has oscillated between DMK and AIADMK with many continuing to justify this binary through the lens of economic progress. But political choice goes far beyond economics. Culture, governance values, institutional integrity, and alignment with people’s expectations matter just as much.

For many, DMK 🌅has come to represent a cultural affront to the state while also being associated with entrenched nepotism, family-centric power structures, media suppression, intimidation, and concerns around law & order. When these factors combine, they can overshadow and erode whatever economic progress is claimed. These are not issues to be brushed aside and they demand serious reflection.

At the same time, AIADMK, 🌱even if perceived as relatively better by some on cultural grounds has been equally steeped in corruption. The leadership feels uninspiring, the system dated, and yet corruption across both these parties has been normalized to an alarming degree. That normalization is the real problem. No middle-class or upper middle-class family can even comprehend the scale of money that has flowed through this ecosystem over decades.

This is where @TVKPartyHQ Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam enters the conversation.

Is it proven? No. Will it be different? We don’t know yet. But what it undeniably brings is unprecedented enthusiasm from the young, energy, generational change, and a sense of possibility. The candidate selection signals that people from ordinary backgrounds can aspire to enter politics. The campaign and messaging feel fresh, resonating with younger voters and many older ones tired of the same cycle.

This is not about expecting miracles. Problems won’t vanish overnight. But a new political force can reset the conversation, bring in new ideas, technology, innovation, and a forward-looking approach that has been missing for decades.

And importantly, Tamil Nadu’s voters are discerning. If a new alternative fails, they will hold it accountable and replace it. That has always been the strength of this state.

So the question is simple: continue rationalizing the same two-party cycle, or give change a chance.

Though this video is so touching…something I could watch on loop forever…it also brings a sharp truth to the surface. The very celebrities who once benefited from Vijay na’s screen presence, who stood on stages and sang praises, are nowhere to be seen today. Worse, some of those voices have flipped entirely, throwing slander for political gains.

But who have never changed, are the faceless, everyday people. No spotlight, no agenda, no personal gain… just unwavering belief. From the very beginning until today, they’ve stood steady.

குறிப்பாக, மறைந்த முன்னாள் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா அவர்கள் சந்தித்த அவமானங்களும், சட்டமன்றத்திலேய�� அவருக்கு இழைக்கப்பட்ட அநீதிகளும் எத்தகையது என்பது வரலாறு. ஒரு பெண்ணாக இருந்து கொண்டு, அதிகார மையங்களை எதிர்த்து நின்றபோது அவருக்கு எதிராக வைக்கப்பட்ட அதே "நாடகம்" என்ற குற்றச்சாட்டும், தனிநபர் தாக்குதல்களும் தான் இன்றும் புதிய மாற்றங்களுக்கு எதிராகத் தொடுக்கப்படுகின்றன.

அன்று ஒரு பெண்ணின் ஆளுமையைச் சிதைக்கத் துணிந்தவர்கள், இன்று அதே பாணியில் புதியவர்களின் வருகையை 'அரசியல் மாண்பு' என்ற போர்வையில் ��திர்க்கிறார்கள். மாற்றத்தை ஏற்க மனமில்லாதவர்கள், இப்படித்தான் போலி அச்சத்தை ஆயுதமாக எடுப்பார்கள்.

மக்கள் ஆதரவு இல்லாதபோது எந்த இயக்கமும் தானாகவே பின்வாங்கும். அதே மக்கள் இன்று ஒரு புதிய நம்பிக்கையை நோக்கி நகர்வதை கொச்சைப்படுத்துவது தமிழ்நாட்டின் அரசியல் முதிர்ச்சியை அவமதிப்பது போன்றது.
