@random49108@LukeJuniper@KGrahamContent American sports are not socialist, the revenue or benefits don't go back to the people.. American sports are fascist, they only proteect their own financial interest protected by the govt
@Kooterrific@KGrahamContent Marlins produce decent young talent. Just can’t keep them. The way previous ownership dismantled winning teams still stings a lot of people
@Dwolfe401@KGrahamContent That's exactly why I dont think that more teams would mean lesser quality on the field. Think of how many Brock Purdys never get a chance. Or let me put it this way, my high school football team produced 3 NFL players and our best player never even made it to college.
@Dwolfe401@KGrahamContent Im not sure about that. College football is damn entertaining and competitive and most don’t ever make the NFL. I think it’s more about very limited chances in the NFL. They Don’t always make the roster for being better than your competition
@Dwolfe401@KGrahamContent You don’t have to touch college football. UFL, CFL, IFL with some rebalancing like when the Marlins and Rockies came to MLB would become tier 2, 3, 4, etc.
@LukeJuniper@KGrahamContent Good point. But it feels like a band aid for the status quo. You get rewarded by shared revenue and then get to pick cheaper players to replace older or non performing stock
That's completely different, that exists in any sport with relegation or not. You may hire cheap players that lose every game and they are still each individually giving their best.. even if the franchise is doesnt care if you end up first or last because they'll make the same revenue. The player in the big leagues doesnt make the same revenue as a player in AA or AAA. Not at all alike.
