Has anyone had a good experience joining a pod/multi-manager? Exploring the path… most ppl tend to be negative but want to hear if any other perspectives.
(“Good experience” = it was worth the money, the work is still intellectually stimulating, your life was not ruined)
@GreensplattCap This seems like the right answer. I am in a generally cushy LO seat, but am also tired of us underperforming and long term upside is lower than I hoped, so thinking about how to fix said issues…
@blueprintsmb22 Appreciate the insight, seems like the experience is very PM dependent at the analyst/sr. associate level.
Love your story btw. Most traditional path there is lol.
@Mondeju1 I don’t work at one of the big retail LOs but my understanding is that PMs and more experienced analysts get paid well. The best way to describe it I’ve heard is LO vs. SM comp is the same risk/pain adjusted. And yes the hours/lack of stress is very nice
@TheSalonDon Also you should really look at daily Shahed/bm launch estimates and ask yourself if you think Iran is winning this war. The regime is incented to do everything in their power to stop this / get a ceasefire, and it’s not working whatsoever. It’s a blatant msm lie Iran is winning
@alapshah1@Citrini7 Btw - I think the piece overall is very thoughtful and started a great dialogue. My view is that it’s likely a correct view for what 2028 could look like, but that will just be an air pocket as we transition and 2029/30 will look better than we can imagine, more in line w/ Elon
@alapshah1@Citrini7 New entrants would likely be structurally unprofitable (as they were in the past) trying to compete against DASH’s network, not to mention having to share economics with OAI. Cost to serve is what matters here
@FundamentEdge Great post. Unfortunately for many Saas investors, every decent quality software company is another approx. -50% move away from passing this 7 yr test
