@HamertonSally@seasaltclothing@TMHPrimary My Christmas and winter books are ready for next week too. Our reading advent calendar starts on Monday too. 24 reading tasks before we break up to win prizes on the last day. Hopefully issue lots of books in December!
We had our first book club meetings of the year this week and had 81 pupils across years 7-12 join me. Broken all previous records! The younger pupils read @simonjamesgreen amazing book and here are some of the comments. @ReadingatLLP@uksla
This has been reshared a lot recently. Many #schoollibrarians are sharing stats which show that reading in their schools is not in decline-quite the reverse. The evidence is clear: having a librarian in school can build and embed a reading culture. Follow us to find out more.
One of my proudest moments was watching Kotryna win this award. Please take a look at the video and consider nominating a pupil, it will change their life. @uksla@CILIPSLG@ReadingatLLP
If you are still deciding whether to put your pupil library assistants in for this fantastic award (deadline 18th Nov https://t.co/tFHej6ORtV), perhaps this fabulous video created for us by @pearson last year will help you decide: https://t.co/zCKQuopPf8

This is a great article and I can also say that we have more boys using the library than girls in our school and this has been the case for a while. Boys DO read and they love joining in with library led events.
Our #PLAA2024 ceremony sponsored by @pearson@AuthorsAloudUK was such a positive experience, we can't wait for next years! Nominations for #PLAA2025 are now open , all the details are here: https://t.co/tFHej6Ppjt we are looking forward to hearing about more wonderful pupils!
Hearing from @FloEshalomi MP who says she wouldn’t have passed her GCSES without access to the library. And now as a parent how important they continue to be. And a shout out to librarians as a first point of access to the service. #LibrariesChangeLives
Have libraries changed your life?
I'm speaking this afternoon @houseofcommons reception on how libraries changed my life. As a child, I visited my local East Ham Library every Saturday with my Dad & bros.
As UK Libraries Champion @CILIPinfo (2019-21) & ambassador for @readingagency, I will keep shouting on the roof tops about libraries 🗣️
From supporting learning at all ages, to improving digital literacy for the most vulnerable, to equipping people with the skills they need to thrive in the modern economy, libraries are truly engines of social mobility #LibrariesChangeLives
