In case you haven't heard or have been thrown off by near-record warmth, Missouri's winter weather preparedness week runs through November 11th. Take some time to recall safety tips and keep an eye on social media for tips from our friends at the NWS #winter#preparedness#mowx
@scottontvKSDK knows how severe weather impacts the public safety. @tvalwx, meteorologist has been in the field reporting on conditions of being without utilities. Proud to name both the @HeatUpSTL Chief’s Public Safety Honorees.
Severe cold & hot weather can have bad economic & health impacts. Both meteorologist @fox2ch & chief meteorologist @zimmtv are good guardians of weather education. We’re proud to present @HeatUpSTL Chief’s Public Safety awards to both.
Hey there, St. Louis weather folks! Are you interested in helping @flystl observe the weather?
Midwest Weather, Inc. has an opening for a Part-Time Weather Observer in the FAA Contract Weather Office in St. Louis. Hours of operation are 24/7, including nights/weekends/holidays.
Candidates must pass the certification test for surface weather observers and be able to obtain an FAA Suitability Determination. In addition to base pay and Sunday/night differential, health/welfare pay, holiday pay, personal days, sick days and vacation pay are included.
Congratulations to @StLouisAMS members @SteveTempleton and @leahwx4! Extreme temperatures are a very impactful hazard, and disproportionately affect under-resourced communities. #stlwx
Reporting on area severe weather takes knowledge of science and engaging the public. And chief meteorologist @SteveTempleton gets it. Meteorologist @leahwx4 sees through reporting the impact that weather plays on some neighbors. They are @HeatUpSTL Chief’s Public Safety honorees.
