It's amazing, and we are so grateful to all of our dedicated volunteers. They are some crew 🌍❤️👏🌟. We would however prefer it if there wasn't as much litter to collect in the first place.

S3 pupils have been busy this morning harvesting the potatoes they planted back in June. Thank you to Fairlie community gardens for kindly providing us with the tubers during last year’s Skills Academy. Looking forward to sampling some of these beauties next lesson! 😋
🤔 What is Laudato Si'?
With a few days to go until Laudate Deum, we look back on the impact of Pope Francis' Laudato Si'.
CAFOD supporters have been putting their faith into action by living simply, praying for our world and by lobbying politicians to tackle climate change.
As we approach the eagerly anticipated Laudate Deum from Pope Francis, a follow-up to his 2015 encyclical #LaudatoSi', join us in prayer for God's gift of creation 🌎🙏
A prayer for our earth is for all who believe in God who is the all-powerful Creator.
This week, my class and I joined the Three Towns Clean Up Crew to help tidy up our school. We collected over 10 bags of litter! Thank you so much for your support and remember: don’t be a litter bug! 🐞

Well done to S6 for a brilliant litterpick yesterday with the Three Towns Clean Up Crew Jean and Iain. Amazing amount from just the car park! @StMatthewsAc
S3 Horticulture group are loving the sight of decomposing veg and juicy worms on a Monday morning as they maintain the wormery and get to grips with vermicomposting 😁🪱♻️.
S3 have also been exploring what the garden already has to offer before they make decisions on what to plant next. Rosemary, lavender, curry plant, blackberries, apples and poppy seeds all a delight for the senses on a beautiful morning! 🌿💚☀️
💙🌎🌊 The #SeasonofCreation for 2023 focuses on the fundamental virtue of justice for true peace for all life on planet Earth which Pope Francis calls our "Common Home." If we truly want peace, we must pray, work, and promote justice 🙏

School Ties
Ex-pupils no longer needing your school tie? Or an extra one in the house that is not required? We would be glad of any for our community wardrobe. Please hand into the school at your convenience. Many thanks.
🌍@PrincesFound; We have been busy growing and nurturing the herb seeds you gifted us at the Food For The Future celebration event in February. We carefully separated out the seedlings today 💚🌱. I sense a sustainability-themed enterprise project coming on!🌍
Hopefully still time this week to pile in the compost and get some more veggies in and growing over the summer. The rumour is that Mrs Watson is moving in to keep things secure ⛺ 👷.
The lovely new signs went up, with the values centre-piece featuring work by Alfie, Kelsey, Jacqueline and Skye. Amazing what resulted from a little creativity with some leftover wood and paint pens 🖌️♻️.
It's been another productive day in the garden with some lovely chats with staff and pupils as we worked. A great opportunity to nurture our well-being with nature, and help create a space we can all enjoy as a school community. Some highlights in the thread below 🌿💚.
S3 pupils took part in a printmaking workshop this morning hosted by Karen and Gillian from the Barony Centre in West Kilbride. Plants were used with jelly plates to create beautiful results! 🌿
