Today, we remember and celebrate the life and legacy of the Most Honourable Edward Seaga on what would have been his 96th birthday.
A visionary leader, statesman, and patriot, Edward Seaga dedicated much of his life to the development of Jamaica and its people. His contributions extended beyond politics, leaving a profound impact on Jamaica’s economic development, culture, and national identity.
As we reflect on his life and contribution, we honour a man whose service to country will never be forgotten.
What a performance from the Reggae Girlz! 🇯🇲🔥
A dominant 4–0 win over Antigua and Barbuda, filled with dominance, skill, and pure team spirit.
Big up to Khadija “Bunny” Shaw for an outstanding hat-trick, clinical, composed, and world-class. 👏🏽⚽️
Forever proud of the Reggae Girlz, keep the momentum going!
Ordinary Jamaicans can very intelligent when not on social media. Listen this very articulate lady
She needs to be promoted.
She is smarter than 80% of those "educated " people on social media.

I must visit the motherland! We lost our culture. We lost our true vibrant identity/ names.
For the first time we are finally connecting. We are seeing AFRICA. We are listening to more African artist with their songs.
I used to love listening to Miriam Makeba. She spoke to my soul and it was always a magical feeling I could never explain.
Mother Africa. We are all here because our forparents survived!
Blessed brown skinned girl.
A strong Jamaican woman is one who knows how to stand on her own, but also understands the power of community.
Being able to draw strength from others and pour back into them, that’s where real strength lies.
Thank you again, to Janella Precius and the “Candid with” team for the invitation, and for creating space for such meaningful conversations.
I recently met Brandon who shared his moving story about being rescued during Hurricane Melissa.
Brandon lost both of his arms after being electrocuted while trying to help someone in need.
During Hurricane Melissa, he faced another frightening experience when he was trapped in his home. The Government was able to mobilize and rescue him.
On Friday, Brandon became a beneficiary of our ROOFS Programme, where he is able to rebuild his home following recent damage.
Brandon’s life shows that helping others has meaning, even in difficult moments, and that obstacles do not have to define you and can shape a greater purpose.

My first engagement in New Delhi was a visit to the Jamaican High Commission, where I experienced a truly creative and thoughtful presentation of our story as a nation.
Through art displays woven throughout the space, Jamaica is brought to life through carefully curated art, highlighting our culture, history, business potential, sporting excellence, and global brand.
I was guided on this tour by High Commissioner His Excellency Jason Hall, who shared how and why he curated these visual narratives, ensuring that Jamaicans in the diaspora, as well as visitors from India and beyond, can see, feel, and experience Jamaica beyond words, through powerful visual storytelling.
It was a powerful reminder of how culture, creativity, and diplomacy come together to tell Jamaica’s story to the world. 🇯🇲🇮🇳

Rehabilitation works on Retreat Drive, completed under the SPARK Programme, continue to make a positive difference for residents and road users. Improved access and safer travel help support everyday life within the community.
We remain committed to strengthening infrastructure across East Rural St. Andrew, and wider Jamaica, improving the roads people rely on each day. 💚
A Florida family’s efforts to preserve their Jamaican matriarch’s recipes, passed down through generations, have transformed the 96-year-old woman into a social media sensation.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
Even as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, may all your wishes come through this season and beyond.
❤️
I know that this Christmas is not a joyful time for many Jamaicans.
While some of us celebrate, we must remember those who are struggling, those without a roof over their heads or even basic housing.
It is your right to celebrate, but it is also our duty as citizens to care for one another.
So as we enjoy the season, let us do so with consideration for our brothers and sisters who cannot celebrate in the usual way. Let us be mindful of their struggles and extend our support, remembering that the spirit of the season is about compassion and care for one another.
This Christmas season invites us to reflect on resilience, compassion, and togetherness.
In the wake of the recent hurricane, many of our communities have faced hardship and loss, yet we have also witnessed incredible strength, kindness, and unity among our people. As we gather with loved ones and give thanks, may this season bring comfort, renewed hope, and encouragement to keep moving forward.
Together, let us continue supporting one another and working toward a brighter future for Jamaica. 🎄
