As part of #Storytellingweek, @StainesPrepYr4 enjoyed listening to the story of Arthur and the Golden Rope. They discussed the comic format of the book and had a go at creating comics of their own based on the myth of ‘Thor’s Journey’. @joetoddstanton

A big thank to @dgjones who this morning spoke to Key Stage Two about his career as an author. He shared some fantastic advice about his writing process and the importance of planning, drafting and editing. Our budding authors at SPS were really inspired by his visit.

Today as part of #Storytellingweek, @StainesPrepYr5 celebrated Greek Myth Day. They started the day with a drama workshop performing some terrific tales. Later, they worked in groups telling stories using their English, maths and art skills. A legendary day!

Year 5 had another great speaker in this week #StainesPrepYear5 . Mr Darby spoke about his journey in the Sports Hall flooring industry and how he is now considered to be a leading expert in his field. Great example of resilience and tenacity. @reflexsportsltd
