@Jaime1951896487 If you have internet, your kid has access to more information than a Harvard student had 5 years ago.
You have infinite classes, tutorials, workshops, lectures, videos, tutors, courses, lessons, curriculum, instructional materials and more. They have the world at their fingertips
Homeschool if it works for your family, but teaching is a real skill.
Let's stop acting like what our teachers do is easy. 🍎
Most parents don't have the skill that is TAUGHT TO TEACHERS to teach their children.
It's not about 'Well, you were taught this in school so you should be able to teach it to your children.'
Never in my life have I seen people make such an enemy out of teachers.
I’m doing an online training and it said to list what your five closest friends from high school are doing now.
We lost touch so I had to do some research and look them up. Turns out one has zero online footprint and three passed away in their 30’s!

@WTSmith17 Pattern Language = based on the clothing, hairstyle, appearance and body language of the thumbnail alone, I can reliably predict his position.
I don’t need to watch the video.
Tracking is undefeated.
@AndrewesFish “No Democrat President has ever returned native land. And no Republican has ever returned native land-except one.
So we have a 5% chance of having land returned by voting conservative. Now 5% might not seem like much but it’s a hell of a lot better odds than 0%.”

@RizomaSchool I never wanted to be away from my kids. Not because I’m a helicopter parent (quite the opposite) but because my kids are infinitely more interesting than the majority of adults I’ve met.
@ridgelinepath Reading about how young men trained in navigation for Polynesian seafaring blew my mind.
They could read ocean wave patterns like fingerprints.
@Perma_Paths He also said kids are the best distributors of seedballs.
They spontaneously throw them with unmediated joy.
Adults tend to overthink it and become too cold & analytical.
@RizomaSchool@Aaragoth@warrenmyers I think yall are discussing public vs private transportation which must take into account the pros and cons of roads vs tracks.
I don’t have a dog in this fight. I was an anti-car activist 15 years ago. I know all the arguments from both sides.
I just shared an interesting fact.
