Who shutdown the government?
1. If the house fails to pass a budget or CR, they did it.
2. If the Senate fails to vote for it, then they did it.
3. If the President fails to sign it, then he did it.
The house passed it.
Democrats threatened a filibuster in the Senate.
Republicans don't have enough votes (60) to bypass a filibuster.
So logically...the Democrats are the ones who caused the shutdown.
Thank you for attending my TED talk on American civics 101.
Forget DEI—I’m a Black woman serving as lieutenant governor in the former capital of the Confederacy. What more proof do you need that America is the greatest country on Earth?
@jonesjay This race will decide whether we have an AG that fantasizes about killing toddlers OR actually prosecutes violent criminals.
I'll be voting for @JasonMiyaresVA
"We do not have to live this way."
This is my last full interview with Charlie Kirk. From two days ago. And as we had before, we talked about the infiltration of progressive ideology into Christian institutions and the harm that compromise has inflicted on our neighbors.
As he frequently said, leftists like Tim Alberta and Christianity Today accused him of bringing politics into the church. But he was playing defense, trying to expel the Marxism that so many pastors and ministry leaders not only coddled but amplified.
When Charlie first welcomed me to speak at TPUSA Faith events, I had almost no platform by the measurements of his circle, and he brought me in and gave me a podium to speak because he thought the message, the issue was important.
It was. It still is. And inspired by Charlie, we will keep up that effort.
When things are moving very fast and people are losing their minds, it’s important to stay grounded. Turn off your phone, read scripture, spend time with friends, and remember internet fury is not real life. It’s going to be ok.
Three lessons from Kirk’s life:
1. Speak truth boldly but kindly. Kirk modeled disagreement with clarity and charity. Too many people think kindness means watering down truth. Kirk demonstrated the opposite is true. Kindness requires clarity.
2. There is a verse for everything. Kirk showed how scripture actually applies to government in an effective way. Jury of peers, due process, civil rights… Kirk reminded everyone those are biblical concepts.
3. Freedom is a gift, and gifts require givers. Kirk constantly reminded people that our country’s strengths are gifts from God. The right response to a gift is thankfulness.
“...Will you side with the truth, a truth so basic that every toddler understands it, or will you disgrace yourselves by denying it?”

Dems kneeled for 8 minutes and 46 seconds for a drug-infused violent criminal.
Laken Riley fought for her life for 18 excruciating minutes before it was taken by an illegal gang member — yet they couldn’t even *stand* to honor her family.
Really process that.
Sincerely, this makes me really sad. Because I love Hamilton and I believe it was born of @Lin_Manuel's love for our founders. So even when I knew he viewed politics differently than I do, I also took joy in knowing that we shared this love of founding and country. But now, with this action, Miranda is saying he has no interest in shared love of country, shared patriotism if someone does not share his politics.
And art should be bigger than that. It's not Trump who is unwilling to share the Kennedy Center unless you agree with his politics, it's Miranda.
