The fact that the Scottish Government have overturned the National Park's decision on Flamingo Land is an outrage.
This is the most unpopular planning application in Scottish history and will cause irreversible damage to the world-famous local environment at Loch Lomond.

The incredible golden helmet was discovered in 1929 near the Romanian village of Coțofenești - unearthed by chance by a young local boy named Trajan. The Golden Helmet of Coțofenești is fashioned from a kilogram of solid gold, decorated with large studs on the top of the skull and two piercing apotropaic eyes, meant to ward off the evil eye and malevolent magic spells. Decorating the cheek guards are scenes of animal sacrifice, with men preparing to cut the throats of a bull and lamb with short daggers. The ceremonial helmet is thought to have belonged to an unknown local Geto-Dacian king from around the year 400 BC and offers a fascinating insight into the proto-history of the rich Dacian kingdom, destined to be conquered by the Roman emperor Trajan, 500 years later. @mamapanda58 @AGuldie@brand_arthur I think those commenting share your distress . The references with regard to the price of gold relates to their fear that these priceless objects ( that I am glad I was able to see ) will be melted down as they are too recognisable to sell them .
Breaking: Last night thieves entered the Drents Museum in Assen, The Netherlands, with the use of explosives. They got away with precious objects from the ehibition 'Dacia - Realm of Gold and Silver'. The display features treasures from the ancient kingdom of Dacia. What a horror
