@denniswbyron@washingtonpost They're not talking about long-term care where the patient isn't returning home which is the type not covered by Medicare. This is about in-patient post-acute/hospital care for recovery and/or rehab that can be covered for several months.
@ColObviousSir@TNSouthernlib Those are not the same as ballots that are mailed in because these others MUST be physically in the collection box or at the location by the time polls close on election day. That's what determines their validity. The vast majority, if not all, mailed ballots have a postmark.
@CentrumLibertas@krassenstein I take it to mean remove him from office. Like no more #47 & move on to #48. Why do you think your violent interpretation is the only possible one?
@adgirlMM Except you generally get about 2x the yearly amount that's withheld. Currently 6.2% up to $185,000 = max withheld $11,500/yr while the average benefit is $25,000/yr. So 70% is still more than you contributed.
@dlee30622171@TNSouthernlib And per the election website, a dropped off ballot has to be physically in the box by the time polls close on election day to be valid. It's the same concept as the postmark. You can't drop it in later w/ a prior date hand written & have it counted.
@crystarius@putain817@rebeccaisdope Yes, it always frustrates me to see people giving this type of advice to just cancel the payment method as if that automatically negates the debt. Some subscription companies do just cancel the service if the payment fails a couple times, but not all.
@gnarlycatCA@TNSouthernlib That's false according to the California elections website which says: "Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received not later than 7 days after Election Day."
@SteveZizek@TNSouthernlib That's false according to the California elections website which says: "Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received not later than 7 days after Election Day."
@dlee30622171@TNSouthernlib That's false according to the California elections website which says: "Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received not later than 7 days after Election Day."
And how would a mailed ballot have only a handwritten date & not a postmark?
@Thrasher360@TNSouthernlib That's false according to the California elections website which says: "Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received not later than 7 days after Election Day."

@RankinThe@LakotaMan1 It's called election day because that's the date by which you must finalize your vote. Mail ballots received up to 7 days after must be postmarked by that date. The validation & counting of votes is allowed for up to 30 days, not voting. Would you rather they didn't validate?
@AngeloThinks@rodneyfrye@omgsidewalks Median rent in 1995 (30 yrs ago) was $650, which means just as many higher than that as below. My basic 1 BR apartment in NJ in 1995 was $850 & everything I looked at was between $775 & $875. That's why most unmarried single income people had roommates in the 1960s & later.
@batboysagogo@ZeusOfPancakes@SirJayxx4@bh_prop@bondnumber7@1ssve Again, not an employer. If you know I'm wrong, then please cite 1 thing from a legit source that says being fired in any "at will" state for a legal reason like performance issues is considered wrongful termination without prior documentation of the stated reason.
@batboysagogo@bh_prop@bondnumber7@1ssve None of what I said is untrue just because you don't want to believe it. And I was never an employer. I just like to actually know my rights as an employee which I believe everyone should rather than going through life completely misinformed.
