@DrShaneRRR@gavi A close up version of the blanket for those interested - at birth a baby receives two vaccines (beibi nila), at 6 weeks they receive two vaccines and a set of drops etc
Additional information about what the vaccines are and some FAQs are also provided alongside the blanket
Great to share some of our work with @gavi CEO Dr Sania - swaddle blankets co-designed with mums as vaccine schedule reminders in πΈπ§ and addressing access barriers to routine immunisation in π΅π¬
In Melbourne, we explored ways to amplify impact across the region with global health institutions, innovators, and CSOs, leveraging their expertise and insights. Huge thanks to @PacificFriends and @CrabbBrendan for hosting such an impactful event!
@carlystarr82 @AuspiciousTimes During the early days of dating my now-husband (and COVID lockdowns) I once made a whole powerpoint presentation on the Big Things of Australia, including photos from I dug up childhood trips (Big Rocking Horse anyone?!)
Devastating results from the @UKHSA annual report on HIV in England: 6,008 new HIV diagnoses in 2023, up 56% from 3,859 in 2019.

Prof Paul Kelly @healthgovau opens #IUSTI2024 with a stark reminder of the disparities and challenges of STI control in π¦πΊ - last year there were 20 cases of congenital syphilis, and 10 deaths. This is unacceptable @ASHMMedia
Huge increases in HIV prevalence in π«π― reported by Dr Rachel Devi @MOHFiji with over 550 cases diagnosed in the first 6 months of 2024 alone, alongside increases in injecting drug use #HIVAIDS2024
There were also high rates of drug resistance (acquired, including vertically, as well as pre-treatment), with the first data from children and adolescents showing 33.6% of 118 individuals assessed on treatment had some drug resistance
HIV prevalence in π΅π¬ now >1%, with progress in treatment but more work needed for prevention, including prevention of mother-to-child transmission. @HankuKelly@pngimr presenting on behalf of a huge ACT-UP team @ASHMMedia
Always exciting to be back at the @ASHMMedia conference - presenting today on behalf of the ACCESS network on the divergence of HIV testing since COVID-19 among gay + bisexual men who use PrEP and those who don't #HIVAIDS2024
