@journalsentinel is a joke. Subscribed two days a week as a Father’s Day gift. Have yet to receive a paper. Reported missed paper online, talked to an agent and was “guaranteed” the issue would be escalated. Still charged fees. Would not recommend.
In toxic cultures, time off is a reward earned by working to exhaustion. Burnout is proof of commitment, and vacations are required to recover.
In healthy cultures, time off is a right granted to everyone. Well-being is a top priority, and vacations are encouraged to rejuvenate.
Leaders who refuse to hear criticism choose not to learn.
The higher you climb, the more people hesitate to challenge you. Silencing dissent is a step toward becoming a dictator.
A culture of voice begins with admitting gaps in your knowledge and rewarding those who speak up.
No one truly needs or wants the sandwich. At first it may seem blunt but if you trust that leaders have positive intent and are there to help you be your best self, then the benevolent truth is refreshing.
Complaining is a toxic behavior, but you’re certainly allowed to complain.
You’re also allowed to be rude, selfish, and arrogant if you want.
Complaining is:
• unattractive
• unproductive
• unlikeable
Just because you’re free to do something doesn’t make it worth doing.
