When you enter medical school on a conveyor belt of jobs it feels terrifying to reach the end and not have the ‘next one’ sorted. Thankfully have a fellowship but this is a real nationwide issue.

I am really worried that so many of our registrars are reaching CCT with no clear consultant jobs to go to.

There is so much work to be done, and yet it feels like there is so little funding that no one is creating new consultant posts in general paediatrics at the moment.

Was at my daughter’s school assembly today. First one at her new school. The theme: diversity and inclusivity. I cried. The kids have it so right.
