AI CapEx topping railroads as % of GDP is striking, but railroads moved real goods. Only ~2% of S&P firms would notice if their AI stopped. Bigger order books still need clearer productivity proof.
a16z's David George and Alex Immerman on why the AI buildout is the next chapter of "Software Is Eating the World":
David: "You're seeing it in CapEx. It's heavily covered in the data center build-out. It's heavily covered in the amount of capital that's been going in to fund the model development."
"To put it into very deep historical context, because this is probably the analogy that we've seen the most of, this build-out just surpassed railroads as a percentage of GDP."
"We all happen to think that if you fast-forward five to seven, maybe 10 years from now, we'll be looking at these numbers, and they'll probably be 20x higher cumulatively."
Alex: "This does feel like the next chapter of Marc's 'Software Is Eating the World.' Over the last 15 years, software has transformed all these industries, but only a small fraction of the population could build it. None of us could."
"But today, look at us. We all have a handful of automations running every night. If you think about the software demand, that means a lot more compute, chips, power, construction."

Another $8.8M into Beltichq to “verify” AI agent purchases. Cute pitch, but one API call won’t survive real fraud, chargebacks, or bad actors. Classic agent-infrastructure hype on problems that barely exist at scale.
An AI agent can buy something in seconds.
Can the business receiving that order tell who sent it, what it can do, or whether to let it through?
We built @beltichq to answer that. We're out of stealth with $8.8M raised to make agent traffic verifiable.

Your CI bill shouldn't scale with every automation you run.

$11.7M for Kanu AI promising AGI that magically absorbs enterprise tribal knowledge just by “working alongside.” Enterprise reality: messy, political, and inconsistent data. This will still need heavy human babysitting and corrections. Classic AI hype funding round.
We raised $11.7M to bring AGI to enterprise.
Every enterprise has spent decades building up knowledge.
Some of it lives in Salesforce, SharePoint, Outlook, spreadsheets, PDFs, maps and databases.
But a huge amount of it just lives in people's heads.
Your best salesperson knows when they can push on price.
Your COO remembers why you made a decision three years ago.
Someone on your team can look at a number and immediately say, "That doesn't look right."
Software has the data, and people know what to do with it.
I think that line is about to disappear.
Kanu understands your company well enough to know what has happened before, how your team thinks, what is changing right now, and what might be worth doing next.
Not because you sat down and programmed all of it. Because Kanu learned by working alongside your team.
Imagine Daniel joins your company tomorrow.
He's working on his first deal and Kanu tells him:
"This customer has historically been pretty flexible on price. I'd start higher on the first offer. Here's what happened the last few times."
Daniel never searched for that.
He didn't even know there was something to search for.
Kanu just knew it would be useful.
That's the part I'm most excited about.
When someone on your team corrects Kanu, it learns.
When something changes in the market, it notices.
When one person figures out a better way to do something, everyone else should be able to benefit from it.
And none of this should require your employees to become AI experts.
They shouldn't have to spend their day building agents, writing skills or figuring out which model to use.
Your company shouldn't have to learn how to use AI.
AI should learn how your company works.
We're already seeing the beginning of this. For one national customer, work that used to take weeks now takes minutes.
Our $11.7M seed round was led by Trilogy Equity Partners, with participation from a16z @speedrun, BMW i Ventures, @Accel and more.
A huge thank you to our team, customers, investors and everyone who believed in us early.
I couldn't be more excited about what comes next.

Under my leadership, the SEC is working to provide clarity to the marketplace so innovative technologies can be developed onshore.
This represents more than a regulatory shift—it is a generational opportunity to advance American leadership in the digital finance revolution. 🇺🇸

A PDF sold as pure gold for 200x speed and 400x cheaper coding agents is the usual harness pitch. Real gains come from fewer re-prompts, but those multipliers rarely survive real repos, flaky tools, or a second week of use.
Kled claiming it “solved” data collection for AGI because 500k contributors can film tasks in 72 hours is scale dressed up as a breakthrough. Volume is not ground truth. Gig-work labels still drift, consent stays thin, and frontier labs still have to filter the mess.
This is Kled V3. We've solved data collection for artificial general intelligence.
Any consumer dataset that can exist, can now be collected from physical reality in under 72 hours.
All powered by the largest and most comprehensive data application layer on the planet. (Thread)

Robinhood celebrating users who switch off trade approvals so AI can run fully autonomous loops treats retail like lab rats. One bad prompt or model drift can compound losses at machine speed while fees flow. Segregated accounts don’t fix reckless automation.
JUST IN: 🤖💸 "We've actually seen a lot of adoption of our first agentic offering," says Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev.
"By default, we have trade approvals... Now, some customers would prefer to turn that off to trade it fully autonomously in a loop. And we do enable that."

Soon, editing a video will be as simple as describing it.
v0.209.0 takes us a step closer. Agents can now edit with the app running in the background, and you can open the GUI anytime to fine-tune.
