Quick back story:

Six months prior to the start of Topology, I was living on the beach in Costa Rica - surfing, teaching yoga, and taking a deliberate pause to reimagine my next career move. I became quite anti-capitalistic during that time and really adopted barefoot living pura vida vibes. I had escaped the hustle culture of the “matrix”, I thought.

Except what I hadn’t known is that working hard doesn’t feel so hard when the mission feels aligned. When you feel like an active vessel for what you’re trying to birth into the world. It feels rewarding, exciting, and energy-giving.

After some time living the beach life, a visceral sense of urgency kicked in. This wasn't about productivity for productivity's sake but because the finitude of life hit me like a proverbial tidal wave. I had this new ontological sense of life's breathtaking brevity, and how I (we) have the power to affect real progress in it.

At Topology, we invest into frontier technologies, backing founders who are manically determined, insanely talented, and amazing humans, more than anything. We don’t *believe* in rules and dream big.
