@StenhousemuirFC And so the new era begins. Unexpected appointment, and tough act to follow, but looking forward to see what Marv can bring for next season. Full time contract a great idea too in what will be a challenging campaign. Welcome all to The Warriors.
@StenhousemuirFC New era incoming. Ross leaves a legend, as all those that have gone down. Terrific attacking player and deserves his move. The sky's the limit for him. All the best Ross. Will look forward to Gregor or Nicky chopping you down next season. ππ
@Rab_Dickson1 Remember when we didn't live in a generation of fuckwits who didn't need to be told what to do if this happened? And as for the last one, "Aye, the 2 officers wi cars will be there in 45 mins to help once they've driven fae the nearest police station, can u haud them up a bit?"
@craigfowler86@evanmccallumm And just to piggy back on your point, there were/are not enough top class refs in our pool in Scotland for VAR to work at it's best. Poor refs have been fast-tracked too quickly into too much pressure. The quality in the lower leagues now is worse than ever.
@craigfowler86@evanmccallumm Yeah, that was pretty high up on reasons for having VAR. I do have sympathy with refs coz of the sheer number of rules to be interpreted, but in a season so tight like last one, the BIG decisions had to be RIGHT. And a lot of them weren't. Again, fans aren't stupid.
@craigfowler86@evanmccallumm I think it's clear why both those in the SPFL & SFA do interviews like this. Self preservation. Fans are bias yes, but not stupid. It's abundantly clear to all the refereeing standards are low, even FIFA ignored them for the WC.
@StenhousemuirFC Let's commission this now. 2 legends. Our first ever trophy led by the great Terry Christie, and our first title led by the brilliant Gary Naysmith. Looks good in front of Ochilview.
@AyrUnitedFC You have a top, top manager. Will work wonders if yous are patient. He'll unite everyone at your club and with a bit of time he'll get it right. And most importantly, he's a brilliant guy. Look after him.
Brilliant this.
Something special about a community club like Stenhousemuir earning their way up the leagues.
8th in League Two when Gary Naysmith was appointed, what a way to end whatβs been an incredible few years!
WE ARE GOING UP, WE ARE GOING UP! But my god, that was a horrible watch. My heart will never be the same again. What a ride. Everyone at the club deserves huge credit, but to the players & management team, thank you. We are in the CHAMPIONSHIP. There's only one Gary Naysmith!
@pieandbov As a good stats man, are you able to find out how many Live TV games Steven MacLean has refereed, separately as the ref, and then with VAR included? I don't think he's a good ref, but he seems to be on the live games an awful lot. I think he'll be on TV the most.
We just keep going! Heart stopped during the penalties lol, but DJ's save and Olly Whyte's winner restarted it. Ahead twice in the game so tough only to draw in the 90, but players dug in and got us through. Gary's reign continues to Alloa on Wednesday. Happy Saturday Warriors.
@ClydeSSB On the timing of the Naysmith announcement - Stenny could lose on Saturday, therefore ending the season with no more home games. By announcing it now, it means Naysmith will get at least 1 massive ovation from a full crowd. He deserves that, and us fans want that too.

Whatever happens now doesn't matter. The club has done us proud all season. The fact we had a title chance in the last game is remarkable with where we were at the start of the season. The players & management team have given us an awesome ride. The playoffs might top it all off
