Idly wondering whether it’s possible for politicians in devolved administration to stay in their lane. I do realise dualling the A9 is less exciting than duelling over Epstein and Gaza, but maybe give it a go chaps? #stvdebate
@scottishgreens How exactly are you planning to continue to rinse middle and higher income earners if you discourage employers from creating those jobs in Scotland in the first place?
@s8mb Not remotely. Discussing healthcare reform should be part of normal political debate (whatever your politics) not treated as some kind of heresy.
@theSNP That 'fair market price' is doing a bit of heavy lifting. First refusal for how long? And a fair market price defined by what mechanism exactly?
@portraitinflesh If you live in Scotland and SNP politics aren’t your thing it’s frankly depressing. For years they’ve survived on an image of competence that doesn’t match reality.
And frankly thank God someone has thrown a genuinely interesting policy out there that at least gets people talking about this election!
Fixing potholes and business rates are important obviously but like ... Let's dream a little bigger here
@tomhfh I would think because price signalling only works as an incentive if one can reasonably respond to it. So given a supply constrained and sticky market it can cease to function as one and for some people simply becomes a cost.
The clocks go forward tonight. Edinburghers may need to wind ours a little further than the rest of the country, since we appear to have woken up in 2014.
A major Scottish independence march has kicked off in Edinburgh 🏴
Brian Cox, John Swinney, Lesley Riddoch, Ross Greer, Gillian Mackay and Aamer Anwar are among those leading activists down the Royal Mile 👇
