Actually Therme Canada, you are the ones who have been caught telling lies.

We know that politicians sometimes tell whoppers, but this is a big one.

This is the cost of restoring and expanding ALL of Ontario Place, which has been closed and left to rot since 2012.

This is the cost of restoring the iconic pods and cinesphere that have fallen into disrepair and to build a brand new science centre.

This is the cost of creating a new public park, instead of the paved parking lots that sit empty today.

To be clear, Therme is receiving zero subsidy from taxpayers.

Just the opposite: we are paying $1.1 Billion in rent and $855 Million in maintenance towards the West Island over the duration of our lease.

And we are building another 16 acres of public park, sandy beaches and trails - free and open to the public, to help bring millions of visitors back to the waterfront.
