I wrote a letter to @jhieditor with @philnorville to prompt discussion on getting towards standardisation of hospital wastewater sampling https://t.co/Ff392vnRme This should help us to meaningfully compare all of the hospital wastewater microbiology that's out there!

Testing patients on admission and ensuring staff wear masks are cost-effective measures to reduce hospital-acquired COVID-19 infections, research from Burnet and the Vic Department of Health, led by Fenella McAndrew, A/Prof Nick Scott and A/Prof @majumdar_suman shows.

This from @WHO@CERN, together with the landmark publication yesterday on mandating indoor air quality standards (https://t.co/LTa10n5l8L), is game-changing both for the here & now & for pandemic preparedness where it is the lowest handing fruit for protection. Congratulations to @drjameslucas1, @AmieOShea and @LouisaESmith1 for securing more than $2.75 million in MRFF funding specifically for research projects to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for LGBTIQA+ people.
