I received my government 'response' to the petition I signed objecting to the addition of folic acid to flour.

It is the same as every 'response' I have ever received from the dozens of other petitions I have signed, numerous letters I have written to Downing Street, and the many letters I have written to various of my MPs.

Every single reply is a stock answer that never addresses any of the points being made. Every single reply is also patronising ... that tone of, 'you are clearly an idiot because we are only doing what our chosen 'experts' suggest we do.'

Petitions are more and more just a way for governments to give the impression that they care about what the people think and that they might even listen to them. The reality is that governments don't actually give a shit what anyone thinks or says if these thoughts or words don't fit the agenda.

There is absolutely no justification whatsoever to add folic acid to anything ... it's just one more way the clowns running the circus can contaminate our food ... and it's a fcuking disgrace that they are allowed to get away with it.
