This is potentially game-changing. Today's Times reports that waiting times for Eurostar trains at St Pancras could fall to 15 mins. But they would need to fall at the other end as well. I haven't been to Paris recently but Brussels can be 45 mins queueing.
Campaign for Better Transport is the national organisation that advocates for better, greener, fairer transport for all.
Our refreshed Strategy outlines how we will work to improve transport for everyone, in cities, towns and rural areas:

We’re calling for bold action to reverse a decade of bus service decline in England 🚌
Our new report urges the Govt to reform funding and adopt an ambition for a minimum level of public transport connectivity so no town or village is left behind.
Read our report ⬇️
This is a bold & positive report with some great recommendations, including things we called for:
• Gaps in bus provision should be identified & filled
• Government should publish guidance on minimum service levels
• A national standard for different categories of bus stops
It was great to explore materials from our archive at this @RailwayMuseum event.
Visitors were able to learn about our 50-year history from @StephenJoseph7, and see fascinating pieces of transport history, including this confirmation of the saving of the Settle-Carlisle line.
Remember Sardine Man? How about Mystic Peg?
We're thrilled that the @RailwayMuseum is cataloguing our 50-year archive, not least because they've made this amazing video!

There is no magic (private) money tree to save the discredited @lowerthames Crossing (a vast new motorway under the Estuary) as shown in this @GwynTopham@guardian article, @RachelReevesMP & @Heidi_Labour please note that it's working people who will pay the price of your folly:
Our analysis suggests tolls will have to TRIPLE at Dartford to pay for the Lower Thames 'smart' motorway Crossing
Private finance is not the 'get out of jail free card' that Rachel Reeves was hoping for

@MichaelDnes1 Very interesting analysis, but I suspect that if you mapped cuts in bus services and road maintenance conditions you would find that these constituencies have also suffered disproportionately. They also have lower car ownership, https://t.co/Uo4u2tnbTR so roads won't help some.
Railway station usage is ⬆️
New figures show station usage is almost back to pre-pandemic level, helped by the SEVEN new stations that opened last year! We want to see more rail expansion as part of plans to tackle the climate emergency.

*NEW* from a US DOT spokesman on congestion pricing: “New York project sponsors notified FHWA of their updated plan to advance the project with a starting toll of $9, and FHWA is working expeditiously to finalize the needed steps to complete the agreement.”
"Finally, Wifi on trains that works! Scottish connectivity firm in ‘first’ for train travel – bringing Starlink system to rail network" > if you want to build, if you want to accelerate, devolved. Big win for Scotland this. Well done all involved. https://t.co/GUAx4cuAiZ
Want to learn more? “Sydney spent $4 million building this important link in 2010, & it was summarily removed by former Minister for Roads Duncan Gay even though it was one of the most heavily used cycleways in Sydney, with more than 2K cyclists each day.”
