@JohnchoVilla Progress as a screener, short roller and decision maker off the catch would do a lot to the offense. Picking the lower-hanging fruits can do so much already
@TobiBuehner That’s for sure. The only starting spot they need to ponder is Castle vs Harper. Other than that just keep the system running and experiment some lineup and scheme versatility throughout the season
The 2nd apron does not allow owners as a group to make more money. Players get a fixed percentage of league revenue under the CBA. The 2nd apron can affect the distribution of that revenue among players, but it has no impact on the total.
@TobiBuehner Coming off a career high TS season in 2025, he should have gauged the FA market for an MLE deal, but if there was a deal in place, of course he was fine with the non-Bird 1+1
@TobiBuehner I would be a bit more ambitious and hope for that trio accounting for ~70% of the cap. If Castle and Harper progress enough they might be able to move Fox for expiring money next offseason. Then the long-term cap sheet should be very healthy
I don’t expect Vic to sign less. He shouldn’t sign less. On the contrary he deserves more.
But if he does in his first max contract that would be unprecedented and insane in a pretty awesome way.
Idk how it’ll be perceived around the league though.
Exclusive: Jacob Tobey is out as the Spurs’ play-by-play announcer after his girlfriend accused him of cheating on her with the sister of a player on the team, sources told FOS.
Tobey’s girlfriend posted about the alleged affair on his Instagram story in the middle of the night.

@TobiBuehner I think he still has a year or two to come off the bench for a playoff team, or be a scorer for a team trying to stay off the relegation zone
If the FO doesn't give Castle an automatic max with Rose rule escalators, things should be fine for the Spurs (same applies to Dylan Harper, but he seems to be on track to get it)
Boston both:
A) feeling the need to trade Jaylen Brown because of apron restrictions
and
B) having a hard time trading him for value because of apron restrictions
makes me feel a bit... worried... about the Wemby/Castle/Harper pairing in 2030 and beyond.
