First trolley arrived to take orders for breakfast, hand out the cutlery / plate for toast along with jam, butter and sauce.

Followed by a drinks service of tea/coffee & water, orange/apple juice.

First Class passengers travelling with @LNER are offered a complimentary at seat meal or snack depending on the train / time of day

We were travelling back from #Aviemore to #Edinburgh with @LNER onboard a #HST Class 43 train - during its final week in service

This is the 08:31 departure from Aviemore (train started in Inverness) the only direct daytime train between Inverness & London

After an overnight journey on the #CaledonianSleeper we arrived at #Aviemore for sunrise over the Cairngorm Mountains.

Close to the station is Cobbs Cafe (Grampian Road) opens at 07:30 ideal for a Scottish breakfast or just a cuppa tea / coffee like we had, you’ll see why ;)

The “Classic Room” is the cheapest of the sleeping accommodation with a shared toilet at the end of the corridor.

Note the folding concertina door on the toilet similar to those used on some airplanes.
