@vercel@vercel constantly making updates to give developers options in making the running of applications cheaper continues to amaze me when you compare them to other companies.
@DavidKPiano Case in point is errors in any form. A lot of jr devs hate seeing errors but changing the thinking to โthese errors are here because someone before me figured this error outโ goes a long way.
Tomorrow night I am starting the Nรผrburgring 24 Hours. I let my wife do 1 lap to see what the team was going to have to endure for hours at a time. When she crossed the finish line she started crying and hugging me saying how proud she was because the physical pain of holding onto the steering wheel for just 1 lap was so bad. I think this was the moment she realized how hard even a simulator race can be. I have been training and looking forward to this race all year.
Bring it on.
@theo I started down a very long thought trail on your explanation in this video of where junior devs can enter the workforce.
I have a feeling only medium to larger companies with high margins and a long backlog will be in a position to comfortably afford juniors.
I also believe Agentic AI will eventually just be a partner for Senior devs to work alone in some companies.
Training Team : Senior, Junior, Agent(s)
Regular Team : Senior, Agent(s)
Not everything needs a second developer but of course it would be great for code review and just working with other people.
I foresee dev โteamsโ becoming more modular than they already are.
Are junior devs screwed? https://t.co/Y9ki5HEttQ via @YouTube
@dhh@FrameworkPuter Products like this really should just be our future. Module competition would bread so much innovation and help with waste at least a little.
Reminds me of @Philips giving 3D printing files out for free to replace some product parts.
