🚨 Early this morning, @FBI and partners arrested 7 individuals on a 10 count indictment for allegedly targeting University of Michigan leaders and businesses in the Eastern Michigan region with violent threats and attacks.

The indictment alleges that after the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, these individuals - a group of college-aged adults - engaged in a coordinated campaign of violent, criminal acts seeking to pressure University of Michigan leaders and other businesses in the Eastern District of Michigan to cut off all ties with Israel.

The subjects allegedly vandalized the victims’ property, spray painted their homes with messages like “Intifada” and “Free Palestine,” left threatening notes on their doors, and even broke windows of the victims’ homes - throwing glass jars filled with chemicals while children slept inside.

They deliberately chose the one-year anniversary of Hamas’s attack to engage in some of their most visible criminal acts - including one subject who specifically targeted the Bloomfield Township Jewish Federation on October 7, 2024. On the same day, another subject - employed by the University - vandalized the University President’s home.

The alleged criminal targeting occurred for over a year - beginning approximately March 2024 and continuing until April 2025.

@FBIDetroit and our partners pursued a thorough, detailed investigation of this case - and subjects have been charged for their alleged role in conspiracies to transmit threats in interstate and foreign commerce.

FLYING WITH MY DAD

When my father was the Commander of the Air Force Special Operations Command in the 80s, he planned a trip for local Florida politicians and businessmen to visit different military bases around the country.

He asked the USAF to send a C-141 to fly the mission and, being qualified to fly multiple USAF aircraft, he wanted to fly it. Being a Major General, he was required to have an Instructor Pilot (IP).

The mission request came to Charleston AFB, SC, where I was stationed (and an IP). My buddy in wing scheduling connected the dots and called me. Ken Silas, a very close friend (RIP!).

He asked me if I wanted to fly it and surprise my Dad. I said, “hell yeah!“

We left Charleston to fly to Hurlburt Field, FL to pick up my Dad and the CODEL. We arrived, loaded up our VIPs and he got to the cockpit and jumped in the empty left seat. He realized I was his Instructor and cracked up. He was floored.

When ran checklists up to engine start and he tried to start #3 first. I interrupted and said, “No Dad, in this airplane, we start #1 first.” (I’d achieved important son status). We sorted it out, took off, and headed out on our journey.

When airborne, we exchanged some trash talking and agreed to bet beers on landings. We alternated every other leg. Our flight engineer had a cigarette lighter and we’d stand it up on the center console and you got a +1 if it stayed up and a -1 if it fell over. It was the experience of a lifetime for a son who idolized his dad.

I squeaked it out!!

🚨 Dr. Stacey Patton, a professor at Howard University, wrote an article in which she blamed Austin Metcalf – and his family – for Karmelo Anthony's decision to murder him.

Titled "Dear Jeff Metcalf: Your Son is Dead Because You Failed to Teach Him That Black Boys Have Boundaries," the article argues that Jeff Metcalf failed to teach Austin that "black children have boundaries." In other words, Jeff should have taught Austin that black people will try to kill you if you ask them to stop violating social norms.

While Patton falls short of outright defending Karmelo's decision, the entire purpose of the piece is to rationalize his behavior. Kind of like "Sure Karmelo shouldn't have stabbed him, but it was Austin's fault at the end of the day."

She writes, "We have to talk about Austin's decision to approach and confront." As if Austin didn't have the right to tell someone from another school to leave his school's tent. As if somehow that minor confrontation justifies stabbing him in the heart. It is complete insanity. Patton ties Austin's behavior to "a long cultural tradition of policing black bodies and space."

Right.

Patton's Substack has nearly 50k followers. He has 300k followers on Facebook. She is an accomplished professor and journalist. The article received thousands of likes. We've all seen the low-class black people causing a scene outside of the courthouse. But it appears that even many educated blacks believe that people of their race have the right to murder anyone who asks them to stop playing music in public, respect physical boundaries, and so on.

"Let us do what we want or we'll kill you" appears to be the message being broadcast by a sizable share of the black community. You don't have to be a far-right radical to recognize the many unsettling implications this holds for the future of American race relations.
