@SteveHiltonx@ParentsUnionLA Zero sense of urgency in these counties like Ventura, Alameda, Contra Costa etc. But 5 days until the next count from Ventura, insane!
@techriverotter@gatorgar Sadly you may right if todays result trend continues. Today Raman votes grew 4K more than Pratt votes did and she’s only 33K ahead of him.
@Deepseeki7@LACountyRRCC Not all of those votes have Mayor race on the ballot. Only City of LA vote for mayor but the numbers put out by LA County RRCC are for the entire LA County.
LA City population is about 3.8 million people, LA County is 10 million people.
@Politics_MexUS@LACountyRRCC Those numbers (183K for KB) were the updated numbers from https://t.co/Mun0qfyMgw as of yesterday 6/3 4pm daily update. It looks like CBS News just didn’t update their label because the data was in fact updated as of 6/3
@neoavatara If parents “follow the science” that was recommended or even required by their children’s pediatrician, then the pediatrician should be liable for any injury or death of the child caused by the vaccine. Agreed?
@Politics_MexUS@LACountyRRCC Go directly to https://t.co/Mun0qfyMgw for updated LA County results (updated at 4:11pm today 6/4) and the Ca Sec of State website for state-wide results. The media’s data is never updated quickly.
Unfortunately most counties including LA are only releasing results once a day
@ChrisCillizza It’s insane. Most counties are only releasing results once a day. Los Angeles is from 4-5pm. Then nothing until the next day. It will be weeks before we know who won or lost. 🤯
@LACountyRRCC Thank you, you guys are doing a great job! It’s not your fault the state of CA has made election workers job harder and slower by discouraging in-person voting by mailing everyone a ballot & changing the law in 2015 from ballots need to be received by Election Day to postmarked😩
@JosephPakBP@Elex_Michaelson@FernieCommaAlex No one expects 100% full counted votes by Election Day nimrod.
But results are still able to be announced when enough votes are counted and mathematically known which until recently in CA was by the end of Election Day or very shortly thereafter. Go change your diaper Joe.
@JosephPakBP@Elex_Michaelson@FernieCommaAlex I know you are a young little Gen Z’er that doesn’t like deadlines and to be rushed but here’s a thought baby Joseph l, you all could just vote sooner
@Elex_Michaelson@FernieCommaAlex It’s not Voting Month, it’s Voting Day. CA changing the law back in 2015 to count votes based on postmark was a big mistake. Ballots dropped off at vote centers are required to be received by Election Day, why shouldn’t mailed-in ballots?
Thank god SCOTUS will soon fix CA mistake
@rsftaylor@KTLA No. The problem is simple. The # of boomers is so much higher than # of young people, younger workers can’t fund SS enough to cover all the boomer benefits; it’s always been known that boomers would take more than younger generations can replenish and changes would be necessary.
@Elex_Michaelson Until 2015 CA required ballots to be received by Election Day not just postmarked. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that is when the results started slowing down. Mail-in ballots were already 60% of total ballots even then (though for most counties they were by request only).
@JustineBateman@LACountyRRCC A big part of the reason for the slow down in election results is that CA changed the law in 2015 to start allowing ballots to just be postmarked by Election Day. Until then, CA required mailed in ballots to be RECEIVED by Election Day (just like most states always have!)
@CarlaHatler@Rani_Rant_Fest@JustineBateman@LACountyRRCC I deleted my post because you were right about VBM numbers before covid; I was wrong and apologize ☺️
However doing some digging on the SOS site shows that until 2015, ballots in CA had to be received not postmarked by Election Day. Thus results have taken longer since then.
