Hi X Community,
Some of you may remember me as jimmythegreek, the crypto and sports enthusiast. My journey in web3 has been a roller coaster filled with highs, lows, and crash outs. I hit rock bottom during Q4 of 2025, causing me to delete my old X account and conduct some seriously needed self reflection.
I took the last 8 months away from X and the crypto space to focus on myself & my family. Over this time Iโve conducted deep self exploration, have finished dozens of books ranging from spirituality, stoicism, and self awareness, while practicing these teaching through immersion in the present moment - the simple pleasures of life.
Friends, family, work - whatever it entailed, I gave it my full attention.
I am now back, with a refreshed perspective and mindset, in hopes of starting this journey over. Not from scratch, but from experience.
Looking forward to what lies ahead.
Sincerely,
Jimmy
During this brutal bear market, I was convinced that the market lacked substantial enough liquidity and confidence to experience any type of sustained excitement and enthusiasm.
However, after witnessing renewed excitement in markets these last few weeks, combined with the true PVE type of environment that @RobinhoodApp has brought back to on-chain crypto, I think the bigger issue lies squarely on the shoulders of @solana and @Pumpfun .
This leaves me fairly convinced that @Pumpfun is the single worst thing to ever happen to crypto. And @SolanaFndn is complicit in their failure to reign in this toxic, extractive corporation/casino that is rotting their blockchain from the inside.
Will be focusing all my attention on Robinhood chain for the foreseeable future.
Iโve been thinking a lot about @Pumpfun and some ways they can objectively fix their platform & onboard more retail.
One issue I have found is the randomness at which the pump fun insiders & social media team choose to endorse certain memes, rather than allowing for a level playing field and pushing what are objectively the โmost viralโ, and iconic memes.
Looking completely objectively at two recent viral memes - $Jimothy and $bet .
Jimothy is a niche meme whose peak virality is a post with 2M views on TikTok.
The other is arguably the greatest and most popular football player in history, making an iconic reaction during the World Cup, with hundreds of millions of social media views & interactions.
The amount of content being put out for the $bet meme is insane - it is all over my social media feed and will undoubtedly become a staple meme used in interactions for the remainder of time.
People will forget about Jimothy in a few weeks.
However, whoever is behind pump fun and runs their market making & social media decided to onboard a network of KOLs to push jimothy over bet. They implemented the pump fun market making bot to artificially inflate volume & demand. They pumped this coin to $20m in a day. Insanity!
How do you expect to onboard more users to your platform when this is the case?
Pushing semi-viral, highly insider controlled tokens that a majority of retail canโt relate with is not the answer. We saw this with the bogus solana:8Jx8AAHj86wbQgUTjGuj6GTTL5Ps3cqxKRTvpaJApump meme, which was another insider crime based coin.
@Pumpfun , you guys need to be better.
@0xDrRick@Pumpfun Yeah, at this point a majority of on chain participants have acknowledged that thereโs no rhyme or reason - pump just randomly crimes coins to keep the casino in business, and they refuse to push anything with actual substance / narrative because that would be โtoo easyโ.

Mike, I donโt understand you.
For the longest time you were a part of the โon chain cultureโ youโre referring to in this post. You were rocking the nft pfps, participating in memecoins, interacting with us.
Yet, whenever someone calls out one of your VC/institutional counterparties, you rush to their defense as if they are incapable of any malice or wrongdoing. Pump fun is the primary example that comes to mind for me.
You canโt claim to be part of both ecosystems without holding each accountable. This isnโt how the world works.
For once, Iโd like to see you use your platform to implement positive change rather than defending the same shameless behavior that results in retail getting wrekt at the expense of institutions.
Happy Friday fam.
Last night I deviated slightly from my zen mindset to call out some ridiculous behavior, but back to finding inner peace and serenity this weekend.

@xydotdot@cipherion99 FWIW I think the above mentioned correction is overstated.
However, way too much dumb money flushing around and insane PnL screenshots on r/stocks for there not to be a tremendous amount of pain ahead.
