My name is Ayesha since I was born. My parents got it from a Greek magazine but the spelling was Ayessa and they just changed it to Ayesha. Little did they know it's a Muslim name. And when I reverted, so happy to know who Ayesha (Radiallahu'anha) was. Subhan Allāh.
I love the thought that Muslim parents put into naming their children.
What is the meaning of your name? Was there a significant person in the past you were named after? Is there other significance to your name?
His wisdom works in unimaginable ways when He creates conditions and circumstances which do not seem to synchronize with the obvious sequence of events. When this happens, one fails to comprehend the reality, and takes what he does not understand as something accidental.
Posting it also here because I want to be reminded by this from Ma'ariful Qur'an, Qur'an 12:19.
The most true Creator of the universe is known by the majesty of His unique state of being. He is, as the Qur’an declares:
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Doer of what He intends - 85:16
It is only in Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, that we shall place our complete and unwavering trust, for He is the ultimate source of strength and guidance.

Why do some people think that when someone reverted to Islam, it's because they married a Muslim person or they want to marry one? Isn't it possible for them to think that it's because they were called or guided to Islam?
This religion is so beautiful as it is. Period.
And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]
Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him.

First time I'll be going to an Islamic event tomorrow, so it's going to be the first time as well to see many Muslims. My ex-workmate, a revert, invited me here and paid for my ticket. Al hamdulillah. But I might not see her tomorrow as it's a first come, first served basis.
When seeking ʿilm: do it with ikhlas, do not take shortcuts, do not show off, make full effort to practise upon what you learn, avoid delving into controversies, scholarly disputes, sectarianism, etc. Be steadfast, grow in your knowledge, and beautify your character and speech.
"...rida' bil-qadr (i.e., to be pleased with every decree of Allah) is part of the obligations of a servant of Allah. A consummated slave is only ever satisfied and content with Allah Himself, and thus sincerely accepts the Divine decree."
[Ma'ariful Qur'an, Qur'an 98:8]
My faith is shaken and unstable and needs restoring. This is one of those moments that either I want to disappear or move in a place where no one knows my name.
"I wish I had not been created, and I was nothing." (Ibn Kathir, Qur'an 19:23)
Grateful for the flexibility of my Ustadhah. Even though she's out today, she agreed to have a class as per my request since I'm trying to catch up. She even started teaching me how to use Hans Wehr since I mentioned that I'll be attending this workshop. Al hamdulillah.
I hate myself when I only revisit my relationship with God is when I get bad news. Al hamdulillah that something is giving me reasons to check my connection with the Most High. But then, it also gives me mini heart attack. Ya Allāh. 😥
