Extending it to downtown will enhance this significantly!

@spd_bird To clarify for everyone; Rails to Trails occurs when a trail is built where a rail line has been abandoned. Rails with Trails is when a trail is built next to an existing rail line like the RLG. Bigger safety issues with the latter but more multi-modal benefits.

Thousands of residents depend on this quality green space which also serves as a buffer.

However, doing a TOD at West 25th is not a good idea because it ruins a $6 million greenway paid for with federal and state conservation grants.

@portofcleveland The dirt lot is already full of trail users many Sundays and Mondays when nothing else is open nearby. Trailheads across America are overwhelmed with would be users due to a lack of parking.

@portofcleveland Add parking to both sides of the new Franklin Blvd and you get 100 spaces plus a small 20 to 30 space lot next to the Lake link Trail & Columbus Road Lift bridge.

@portofcleveland A 23 acre park with zero parking. Only those lucky enough to live nearby will be able to use it. Meanwhile, Edgewater has 1,072 paved parking spots. A comparable # would be 168 at Irishtown Bend.

@GreaterCLE A project like the Skywalk at the Red Line Greenway which will connect 58,000 Clevelander's to one another and to 120,000 jobs downtown in a safe and equitable manner is one of the most effective ways to sustain and grow our city!
