@carol_ross43566@Canellelabelle My husband went to Oundle and loved every minute he was there. He probably spent more time at home with his parents over a year than I did (state secondary) as I was out every evening (and most weekends) doing sport or music, and his holidays were so much longer than mine.
@MadsDavies We've often asked people to come and be mystery worshippers and then asked for very detailed feedback afterwards. Its a really good idea as you never get a second chance to have a first look at something.
@giles_fraser also probably very sensible given that they are treating and vaccinating thousands of teenagers and young adults in the city for meningitis B
@SarahLouise_146@Xeon4f145d96s1@UKFPO The (very) old system where you applied directly to the hospitals you wanted to go to seemed to work....just saying....
@thevicarswife@ryanburge Hence the massive need for more lay led communties but then the CofE structures haven't caught up with the actualy logistics of that yet....
@thevicarswife@FondOfBeetles It's very school dependent. At my kids primary and secondary schools before we moved (which were independent) every child did organised sport at least x5/week with 2 matches against another team a week being usual. Currently they get 3 lessons a week & very few play matches
@goose67515820@krishk but that's exactly what happens every time someone stands before God - the ugliness of sin juxtaposed with the beauty and holiness of God.
@krishk A friend of mine runs Graffiti Church once a month to connect Jesus with a whole load of people who wouldn;t connect in the 'standard' ways we 'do' church. It's pioneering....the big question is do Canterbury have people around to help visitors engage with the questions they ask?
@SarahCoombesWB And they still need safeguarding as they are still children. Very few 16 year olds are truely capable of understand the long term consequences of decisions.
@MadsDavies We have created a playzone in our church building with free coffee/tea available - there's space to work, rest, pray and play for our community.
