Had the pleasure of interviewing @JeremykCPR . Jeremy founded the first cell phone repair (CPR) franchise in 2004 and is widely considered the “God Father of the Cell Phone Repair industry”. Jeremy sold his ownership stake in the Cell Phone Repair business in 2013, but stayed on in a consulting capacity. In 2019, the Cell Phone Repair franchise with over 700 locations worldwide was sold to Assurant - a 10+ billion dollar publicly traded company.

it's unclear if most ppl realize that ozempic’s real effects on culture haven’t even started.

cuz what you’re seeing now is the first order effects & some glimpses of second order where ppl get thinner & some products experiencing a resurgence.

but the second & third order effects are where things might get gnarly due to the fact that these drugs seem to dampen desire itself across a surprisingly wide range of behaviors (it's not universal or obvious yet). food is simply the first & most obvious target.

liek what happens when millions of people suddenly spend less time thinking about consumption? what happens to industries built around cravings, indulgence, impulse purchases, addiction loops, or even certain forms of entertainment?

entire sections of the economy assume humans will remain governed by the same reward circuitry we’ve had for thousands of years. if these drugs meaningfully alter those circuits, we’re talking about a tool that edits human motivation.

we are gonna see thinness but in a lot of diff ways it seems like.

By firing the CF. How about we all start holding the CF to the same level all the haters hold Charles too. Compare the Cardano foundation to the Sui, Solano, or virtually any other foundation and you will see the real issue. The members need to be fired and the foundation needs to move to a system that allows it to take risks in Cardano projects.

For Cardano specifically everyone needs to stop blaming Charles and instead blame the Cardano foundation. Imagine where Cardano would be if the stupid swiss foundation would actually take some "risks" and invest/help Cardano projects the way the Sui or Solano foundation does...NOT TO MENTION THEY CANT BE FIREDDD!

Unfortunately people correlate price with performance. Cardano today is more decentralized than ever before, more alive, more established, and most importantly still nearly 10 years since launch has NEVER stopped producing blocks.

If Cardano fails - in my opnion so does the true dream of Crypto. Satoshis dream, Hal Finney's dream, Charles' dream, and my dream.

This was a fun conversation for a few reasons. Brad and I both share a love for Italy and had some great back-and-forth about our experiences living and traveling there. Brad served a mission in Northern Italy, studied Italian, and later built part of his career around international business and manufacturing.

Brad also has a unique history in the repair industry. He was the founder behind Protection Pro / ClearPlex, which became a major name in on-demand screen protection before its acquisition by Madico. In this episode, we talked about what he learned from that journey and how it shaped what he is building now with Red Wolf and Primo.

Brad has a really interesting perspective because he has been on the product, manufacturing, software, and repair shop side of the industry. I really enjoyed this conversation and think repair shop owners will get a lot of value from it.
