Its not all bad either. Like having multiple escalation channels (not monitored though), their agents dont disconnect the call like many others do. This is a saving grace. They will also connect you to supervisor if you insist. And also their supervisors. Its a game.
THIS INDIPENDENCE DAY, I NEED YOUR HELP...
This country needs a peaceful revolution, at least in how we chose our leaders... if we are to remain even a respectable nation by 2047.
Close to half of our MPs have criminal cases and a third have serious charges like murder, rape & kidnapping. No wonder trust deficit has become the biggest deficit in the nation. I want to consult the best minds in the country wherever they are, to brainstorm about what must change and how. Not just intellectuals who think but people who are selfless, fearless men & women of character & substance. Sitting in remote Ladakh I don't know who & where they are, so you can help by proposing at least one such name from the nation, and your region...
TOGETHER CAN WE START INDIA'S 2ND INDIPENDENCE MOVEMENT!
You can also help by spreading this message and if possible by transalting it in your regional language.
BIG EXPOSE: This is for the group headed by @NandanNilekani@actorvijay@ikamalhaasan and any one grappling with the big issue of importance of school board exams and the need for entrance exams.
The data researched by @Careers360 shows that either entrance exams are compromised or they are incompetent in assessing students.
Both MHCET, an entrance exam for colleges in Maharashtra and HSC of Maharashtra board are conducted on a similar syllabus.
1. In 2026, we measured the performance of the same student in the HSC board exam and the MHCET entrance exam. And these are the results:
A. 35 students scored a perfect 100 percentile in MHT-CET 2026. But their average HSC PCM score was just 71.21%. Only one of them had 90%+ in boards, 11 had 80-90%, 8 had 70-80%, and 2 scored an abysmal 40-50%
B. On the other hand, 42 students scored 99%+ in HSC PCM boards and their in average MHT-CET percentile is a high 94.89.
2. The story was no different in 2025.
A. The topper of MHCET with 100 percentiles got only 51.67% in HSC PCM. The second ranker of MHCET had only 51% in HSC PCM. The 5th ranker of MHT CET got just 55.67% in HSC PCM.
B. The HSC Board had 3 students scoring 100% and in all 24 students who scored above 99%. The combined average of these 24 students in HSC was 99.5%. These students had an average score of 94.73%
C. However, the reverse is not true. In MHT CET, 8 students got 100 Percentile. Their average score in HSC PCM is 71.7%. At a subject level also, 18 students who scored 100 percentile in Math’s in MHT CET had an average score of 74% in HSC Maths. In Physics, 16 students with 100 Percentile in MHT CET averaged 79% in HSC Physics.
The board results seem to be doing a far better job in assessing students as compared to the entrance exams.

Forget demographic dividend. We will soon face a demographic nightmare. In the last 10 years:
1. 93000 schools closed down.
2. Enrolment in schools fell 2.41 Crores
3. Population shot up by 15.4 Crores.
In 2015, India had 20.7% people enrolled in schools. In 2025, we have 16.8% enrolled in schools. We saw a 19% drop in school enrolment in proportion to population in a decade.
All this is UDISE data, which is government data.
Lopsided bargain: A side-by-side reading of the actual commitments of the U.S. and India in their “interim framework” trade accord reveals a striking imbalance (see the table below): India’s obligations are immediate, quantified and subject to formal monitoring, while American “concessions” are largely conditional, reversible or simply corrective, including a partial rollback of penalties Washington had imposed unilaterally in 2025.
The language itself is revealing. The USTR and the White House frame India as a “market” to be unlocked rather than a strategic partner, emphasizing gains for American workers and exporters by opening a massive consumer base for U.S. surplus.
The structure of the deal reinforces this hierarchy: India, by agreeing to open its industrial and agricultural markets to American exports, merely regains U.S. market access that was taken away by the 2025 punitive tariffs, while the U.S. significantly expands its access to the Indian market even as it decides to maintain an 18% protectionist tariff and discretionary enforcement powers.
This asymmetry — between hard commitments on one side and contingent promises on the other — is the defining feature of the bargain.

@Finance_Weights I recently bought t-shirts from a Tirupur based unknown brand, PiTshirts. Packaging, layout and colors were really nice. I somehow never doubted the website, probably due to nice layout and product presentation.
@Finance_Weights It also depends on the quality of UI and website. If your website appears professional, people will trust you and will pay. Make sure pictues are of good quality and description is written professionally. All policies should be stated clearly, and so on..
