@80Level Senua is more of an immersive game than typical action-adventure. Beautiful and sad, and terrifying, and full of compassion... Dark as it is, it's a healing experience.
Was really looking forward to the next one 🥲
Whatever happens, I wish the devs best of luck
@therealcliffyb That one game that made me overcome my intense fear of crazy zombies with chainsaws (ironically, originally instilled by RE4 in the first place). There are much much worse things out there😨
@therealcliffyb Senua's mirror from Hellblade. It's magic though, so I guess doesn't really count =P More interesting indicator is /audio/ in the form of constant stream of "voices in your head" (example: they SCREAM that someone is attacking from behind instead of flashing red arrows)
@therealcliffyb If these guys only knew how many gaming girls still prefer to hide their gender even today... All because some dudes inexplicably go into complete meltdown when confronted with reality. It's a mental health risk.
@ThatNgonGuy I remember when I learned this sometime after DooM 3 was released. English is not my first language so I never heard this word before. It was surprisingly easy to switch, because it felt like it "made sense" now😮
@80Level Maybe issue is in how success is measured for game like this. No matter how good it is it will never come close to sandbox audience. Limited simply by being a violent horror. When someone looks at it and sets unreasonable targets, isn't it just mismanagement? (Looking at you, EA)
@therealcliffyb As a gamer watching the industry from outside: it looks like big companies were overrun by people who would normally be telling you to "stop playing stupid games and get a job". They don't even see why people play and/or make games, but want to exploit it
@80Level@XBOX I'm torn between "this is bad" / "this could've been so much worse" / "it still can get worse" / and "if these studios survive the next few years they might be better off without Microsoft anyway".
Still sucks for those who simply lost their job. What a horrible mess
@IsThisA3DModel Imagine having the power "to bring your every idea to life" at your fingertips... and you chose to make this.
At some point it becomes just too sad to look at 🤦
@ThatNgonGuy Haha, yes, the change was a little confusing :) It makes total sense though! "Active" spline is just one spline out of (potential) few in the same curve, so it was odd for its options to be in the general curve settings in the first place.
@Khellstr3D@ThatNgonGuy Oh yeah, that's got to be confusing 😅 For some reason I always ever used "Path" object instead - it has endpoints enabled by default.
