Im so thankful for Smokey @Ncanuel1 , @AndreaWoo and Rafal for the photo of Trey and @oddfellowsent @42kareemallam @thenetworkhub all of the frontline workers and dtes residents who stopped by to say hi today.
This is the hardest and most heartbreaking thing I have ever had to write. Trey Helten was my friend and a friend to so many people. He touched so many people in so many ways. He left a legacy of kindness and selfessness that was an inspiration to all. Through his example… we won’t forget to forget the politics and remember the people. I will miss you Trey.

My book is out now. Available anywhere. The audiobook too (which I read). It's part memoir, part manifesto and aims right at the heart of the current Trump / Poilievre right wing backlash against harm reduction. https://t.co/hObgzkoGfo
Just about everyone I know who died of OD had been thru treatment. Yet they’re still gone. If you ban (rather than expand) safe supply & supervised consumption, many more will die. You will “bring home” our corpses.
“There’s one eligibility requirement ... a desire to reduce smoking and tobacco-related harm.”
The creators of a free online course aim to correct the waves of misinformation that keep people smoking, reports @KiranSidhu41:

It won’t stop at closing “drug dens.” Or ending “safe supply”. Rustad supporters are against OAT. Locking people up for what’s in our veins is the ONLY palatable solution for most BC Cons supporters. They support forced medical procedures.
“there is no single cause of lower life expectancy, but countless studies have recognized the role that poverty plays in premature death.”

This is why “reconciliation” is fake. No political party will save First Nations. It’s a scam some of our people accept money for to keep the status quo in place. The sooner the youth realize this the better.
@TheBreakdownAB Yeah we tagged Marlaina in a post about free press and the removal of one of the only news articles supporting saving the SCS and they got upset.
How can you believe in the involuntary institutionalization of unhoused people, when thousands of people are voluntarily waiting 8-10 years for housing if ever?
A month in hospital costs: $30,100
Month in prison: $9,400
Month in shelter: $6,800
Supportive housing per month: $3,800
Housing for all is a matter of human dignity and sound economics.
