I congratulate the University of Ghana’s School of Performing Arts for that masterful reenactment of the transatlantic enslavement at the Osu Castle during the Next Steps Juneteenth commemoration.
Their brilliant performance is receiving wide international acclaim with invitations already pouring in from multiple countries including Barbados, Jamaica and the US.
Really proud of Ghana’s outstanding diverse talents.
May I wish all our hardworking and caring men a Happy Father’s Day.
Vdm and his followers should know that, this is the problem of Nigeria, not Tinubu. Until this constitution is totally change nothing any president can do.
That's why we don't want Arsenal to win anything in this life.
Bcs tell me what in the world is this beautiful song from Arsenal fans
As much as I h@te that they won the league I can't help but dance to this beautiful song.
Nonsense team.... Gbedu for days!
My prediction for the 2027 Presidential election region voting order:
1. South West - Absolute dominance in favour of President Bola Tinubu
2. South East - Absolute dominance in favour of Peter Obi
3. North East - Average win in favour of Atiku Abubakar
4. North West - Convincing win in favour of President Bola Tinubu
5. South South - A keenly contested battle ground between President Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi. It will possibly end up an average win in favour of President Bola Tinubu
6. North Central - Absolute win in favour of President Bola Tinubu
Note: I have seen the script, it's predictable. This is 2027 fast-forwarded to help you calm down after it is all done. It's going to be a big win for Nigeria!
During the era of Talika parapọ̀, there's one song people love singing around Ilorin then.
Also turned out to be the time there were lot of strife and bickering about the political sagacity of the late reverred 4th Emir of Ilorin who had a silent running battle with Awo and his people who thought they were so powerful that they could do anything down north. Of course one of their party leaders then was the great Sule Maito from here.
The song goes thus:
"Kin lowo lọwọ bí ti maito, kín lọmọ lẹyin bìtì Haji kamali, kínlọ mecca bí ti ọmọ olumọ."
Women will chorus the ending as “Mẹtẹta ninwu mi, ṣíṣe Funmi.“ 🤗🤗🤗
Hmm, if you pass akodudu now, you will think Olumọ was never that big. And he was...
Baba Mufti has left and we have had 3 since he left. And Sule Maito also left a long, long time ago with several regal and arguably more successful (in money terms) than him.
Everything will end one day, including the person praying and the person being prayed for.
Life's turn by turn.
NB: I first heard the song from a sermon from whom I call arguably the greatest orator from Ilorin when it comes to delivering sermons amongst the knowledgeable in Ilorin, the late sheikh Ameenulah Abata, widely adored as Oniwaasi Agbaye. I also read it somewhere later. I can't remember now.
You cannot start from 1967 because there was no civil rule until 1979. So we can start from 1979.
1979 - 1983: Adamu Attah (old Kwara South)
1983 - 1983: C.O Adebayo (Kwara South)
1992 - 1993: Sha'aba Lafiagi (Kwara North)
1999-2003: Mohammed Lawal (Kwara Central)
2003 - 2011: Bukola Saraki (Kwara Central)
2011 - 2019: Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara South)
2019 - 2027: Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara Central)
Summary
Kwara South = 3
Kwara North = 1
Kwara Central = 3
Still supports my argument that Kwara North should be considered.
Now, if you want to count military governors, although military regimes should not be counted as they were solely chosen on the discretion of the military head of state, we will add the following:
1967-1975: David Bamgboye (Kwara South)
1984-1985: Salaudeen Latinwo (Kwara South)
There was a military governor Mohammed Ndatsu Umaru from 1985-1987 (clearly a Nupe man from the name, but not sure he was Kwara Nupe or Niger Nupe).
Other military governors were non-indigenes.
Even if military govs are considered and Umaru is counted as Kwara Nupe, it takes Kwara North to 2 governors, with combined tenures of less than 5 years, compared to 20 years of Kwara Central and 18 years of Kwara South.
Everything points to Kwara North as next for balancing.
Chelsea needs 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Man City needs 3-0 at Etihad.
Spurs needs needs 3-0 at the Tottenham Stadium.
Just like the Indian film = 3 ID!OTS 😭
🚨EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal scored their 30th and 31st set piece goals of the season in the 2 - 1 win over Chelsea, continuing their dead ball dominance under Mikel Arteta.
Despite criticism from Arne Slot about the growing reliance on set plays, the numbers show Arsenal are not overly dependent on them.
In the Premier League, 22 of Arsenal’s 58 goals, 38 per cent, have come from set pieces, placing them fifth for ratio.
Crystal Palace lead the way with 50 per cent of their goals from dead balls, followed by Newcastle United, Leeds United and Chelsea.
The table underlines that while Arsenal are elite from corners, they remain one of the league’s most complete sides in OPEN PLAY and DEFENCE.
Did you know women started giving birth on their backs because King Louis XIV had a fetish for watching the women he impregnated give birth? He’d stand in front of them, make them lie back, and pleasure himself while they delivered. That’s literally why the flat-on-the-back position became standard. Before that, women typically squatted or used birthing chairs, sitting upright to push while someone caught the baby. This is why and how the West always want to control and push narratives. Just as Lilith Black puts it, throughout history women gave birth in vertical or upright positions by either squatting , kneeling or using birthing chairs that harnessed gravity which aids the pelvis to open up with ease . Women did not start giving birth on their backs because it was better for women or babies. It happened because it was better for institutions, male doctors, and control. However, the flat-on-the-back model isn't original to the above postulations.
