@internetuserf12 Sulodexide for 9 months didn’t make me noticeably better or worse. My bloodwork for vascular inflammation and endothelial health was essentially unchanged, although it may have helped lower my sCD40L level. Overall, I didn’t notice a meaningful improvement in my symptoms.
@amymitchellart Was your presentation primarily immune collapse/ME-CFS or did you also have POTS, dysautonomia, MCAS? I have confirmed CCR5-high intermediate monocytes at 4x normal (Patterson) but my dominant picture is autonomic/neurological. Did maraviroc help beyond immune reconstitution? thx
@chydorina@gospacecraft@iatrogenic_harm Have u seen this? It suggests potassium chloride can induce histamine release from mast cells (at least in experimental models).
For those of us with MCAS, do you think higher potassium intake could be an issue, or is this not clinically relevant in vivo? https://t.co/BVFszczp3S
@KevinJTraceyMD Thanks for this distinction. How do you view data like this Famotidine study showing vagus-dependent anti-inflammatory effects lost with vagotomy, suggesting neural engagement beyond acid suppression?

@PlanetEarth_HD tachycardia and “anxiety” signals. It can happen even with low-histamine foods and often worsens after infections. MCAS can overlap, but timing + duration strongly point to hemodynamics.
@PlanetEarth_HD This pattern is much more consistent with post-prandial blood pooling / dysautonomia than MCAS. About 30–90 min after eating, blood shifts to the gut, and if vascular compensation is impaired (common post-viral), BP drops and the brain responds with
@rhi_eth@bryan_johnson Misen’s pans are a solid non-toxic option, no PTFE/PFAS coatings. Their nitrided steel is hardened at the surface instead of coated, so nothing to flake or off-gas, and it gets more non-stick with proper use.
@SalvMattera In patients with post-viral dysautonomia whose POTS symptoms flare mainly after immune activation or new infections, how do you distinguish primary autonomic nerve injury from immune-driven endothelial or neurovascular dysfunction
@pokysticks Yeah, Pepcid AC (famotidine) has been the only thing that eased my lightheadedness. Took 2 weeks to work. It tightens endothelial junctions, reduces vascular leak, and even dampens TRPV1 overactivation in the gut. I’m on a low-histamine diet too. How’s Mestinon been for you?
@pokysticks@AdamVanBavel I’ve had good results with Pepcid for reducing lightheadedness and dizziness, which might be tied to vascular permeability. Have you ever tried Sulodexide or other endothelial-repair agents? It’s supposed to help regenerate the glycocalyx and stabilize microcirculation over time
@pokysticks@AdamVanBavel I’ve got a very similar profile elevated sCD40L and endothelial activation markers. Interesting that roc/statin/colchicine lowered your labs but didn’t move the symptoms. Sometimes those protocols calm immune signaling but don’t actually rebuild the microvascular structure itself
@sun_in_winter12 It could be endothelial dysfunction and vascular inflammation. You could get an Endopat test done. Also I recommend testing your sCD40L and vWF:
