@NabilT77@Starlink If you missed it, Starlink is aimed at customers in rural or underserved areas. They aren’t competing for customers who can already get fiber.
And, for those who can’t get fiber, it is not overpriced OR underrated.
@Mobell_k@JorgeRivarola18@ergo117@viennoiscafe The best way to answer your question is to point out that the surplus is not structural.
As you point out, some companies go bankrupt. They do so because the subjective valuation of their skill and labour was not high enough to support it.
Only successful companies havesurplus
@RnaudBertrand@MaudeBarlow I think most posts here are missing the point that Venezuelian oil was being sold for Chinese Yuan, and now it will be sold, even to China, in American dollars.
The same thing happened to Iraq and Libya.
@echipiuk Alberta separation is always funded by the US.
Ideally things can be disputed and fought over without breaking up the country and making everyone weaker.
@echipiuk Well said. I’m the only (small c) conservative in my household. I avoid talking about politics but am constantly berated for not joining the left.
If any of my family was on X, I probably wouldn’t have wrote this to avoid the tedious backlash. 🙂
@M1K3997@uncontamin8ed@IanCarrollShow@DouglasKMurray If Douglas Murray had voiced countering arguments to Dave’s points, I would have given them more weight as you describe. But he didn’t. He changed the subject every time and avoided discussing Dave’s points.
He displayed overwhelming rhetorical skills, but few (not 0) arguments.
@scaCarlos@newstart_2024@SabinehazanMD And a well-funded lawsuit that an individual can’t possibly afford to fight if she does name something.
It’s not a 1-sided story. Nothing is.
