ELON MUSK: "I would encourage everyone to be optimistic and excited about the future, and I think for quality of life, it is actually better to err on the side of being an optimist and wrong rather than a pessimist and right usage."
Great piece from Ryan. My 6 takeaways:
1. Bitcoin hasn’t made new highs versus Gold since 2021 (utterly insane tbh)
2. Crypto-native burn out is massively BULLISH. "Weak efforts should not consistently lead to extraordinary results as they have in the past."
3. Crypto apps are now trading at similar multiples to the S&P 500 Index (23x) and most analysts aren't willing to entertain annual growth rates of 20%+ (in other words, they're afraid to predict exponential growth)
4. Sovereign debt is approaching unsustainability and we'll soon be "grateful we built this parallel system."
5. The right crypto assets will become lynchpins in the global financial system.
6. We're burning off the excessive valuations from 2021 and preparing for true exponential adoption
in 2026 i plan to double down on investing in the DePIN industry
in the fast evolving world of DePIN, few projects combine real world utility, strong traction, and massive potential like @LayerDrone

Padafhankelijkheid. We zijn hier door een onwaarschijnlijke reeks gebeurtenissen terecht gekomen, en nu durft de Tweede Kamer eigenlijk niet meer nee te zeggen.
Ongekend.

Looks like @github kind of "stealth shipped" an SDK that lets you build literally anything on top of the Copilot CLI.
So I built a CLI to generate YouTube video titles, descriptions, social posts etc. Uses your existing copilot login.

2026 has just begun, and we’re only now taking a moment to look back at the year that just wrapped up on Symbiosis.
Over the past year, these were the most active chains by volume and usage:
1) TRON
2) Ethereum
3) Base
4) Arbitrum
5) Bitcoin
Now the question is: which chains will define 2026?

The quoted post aged well, and pretty badly at the same. Here's a short story (it's not a crypto thread) about how I got here, how things have developed, where I'm at now, what I'm planning, and advice for people who might be in the same position. Skip if you're not into personal topics.
Q2-q4 2021 I quit my job as a foreman/civil engineer with no degree (I didn't finish college), I joined this space in . Mostly because regular jobs don't pay, everything is getting more expensive, and I had a bank debt I was tied to, with a bank hanging around my neck. On the other hand, I never had time for myself, people I love and care about, or personal hobbies/interests. My avg monthly workload was 250 hours. For around $1300. I started my journey as a community manager for a small L1. A month later, I was given a BD role, just to end up having a marketing role as well. I met some fantastic people, and I've met their counterparties. Regardless, no resentment, it was a good experience. And it paid better than my previous job did. I took that role (or roles) in Q4 and have been part of the team for, if I recall correctly, 9 months.
Q12022 I left that job because it became exhausting, the team's ideas didn't align with mine, and they're principles revolved around money extraction rather than technical/technological advancement. So I went full solo (ergo, mono=one). Obviously, I moved from being an employed crypto dude to being a degen who's managing to jump between God-knows-how-many TG groups, looking for small caps, good yield, real people. This was a pretty nice time. I did some trading, too. And have found a couple 500-1000x I never leveraged myself. Regardless, I was happy because I had more time, money was better than what I'd be paid IRL having a "regular job", and I absolutely love the tech and how dynamic the space is.
During that time, the girl I was with for 3.5 years (back then), was actually pissed because she believed that crypto is a fraud, that it's not real money, and all the other anti-crypto opinions you've already heard before. But I was very direct and said that I won't leave the space because I see the potential. Needless to say, this caused a lot of havoc in our relationship. But we kept going forward.
Q3 2022 This was a crucial moment in my crypto "career" (I hate that word, btw) as I met Louis Cooper (God bless you, sir) and we came up with an idea to kickstart a small TG group for degens, DeFi Chads, on-chain maxis, and whoever fits the pool of crypto autism. It was a bear market, and the TG group was doing extremely well. We recognized the L2 narrative and have all been riding the blue horse named Arbitrum. Great times, everyone was eating.
Q4 2022 That TG group was named Fungi Alpha (although neither Louis and I advocate for shrooms or any sort of drugs). And it was a private group capped at 300 members. Some great folks have greatly developed their researching and writing skills, and are now part of the known part of CT. Example: @dontbuytops (my all-time fav because he had a humble approach, was extremely active and always keen to work and help). Anyway, Louis and I decided to create a Twitter account for Fungi Alpha and start something new - collaborating with teams. In the beginning, this didn't really pay, but we kept on working and building. Naturally, interest from teams started growing as we were rolling out threads and other content (like the weekly recaps, alpha lists (called "Microdose"). This is when monetization kicked in. Hard work paid off. Things were getting better by the day, although I have to admit that the burden was pretty much only on my shoulders as I did most of the work (from research, writing, hosting AMAs, handling calls with teams, managing the TG group etc.). This started bothering me, but I kept going.
Q1-Q3 2023 Fungi Alpha was already a pretty known CT brand and has grown explosively within a 9-months long timeframe (from Dec 25022 to September 2023). In those nine months, we've grown from 0 to back then ~25k followers. Bear in mind, the markets weren't bullish (BTC was somewhere in the $25k region after it had a nice run to $60k before plummeting and destroying people's mental health). Things were great financially, but horrendous on the personal front. There were key differences between Louis and myself. And my girlfriend was increasingly pissed because I was working 12-20h a day, 6 days per week. So, I was at a financial ATH (~$100k), but mentally drained. Also, emotionally. On September 15th I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and had brain surgery. And this is where things started going down very rapidly.
Q4 2023 Prior to leaving Fungi Alpha, I had agreed on a deal (signed a contract) with a known DEX (thanks to @andrewsaunders who's been an absolute legend). I left the hospital on October 2nd, but the team (again, thanks to Andrew), decided to keep me. I wasn't able to work full-time, but I was adequately paid for what I was managing to do. Btw, I got out of hospital with $3k to my name and 40k euros in debt (bank loan I took to support my dad because Covid killed his company), and I moved back in with my parents. Yeah, a 35 year old dude living with mom and dad. The team (it's Hashflow) was more than nice towards me, and I'll be ever-grateful to them for not rejecting me because of the stroke, brain surgery, and epilepsy I inherited. Weren't it for them, and primarily Andrew, I don't know where I would've been today and how I would've been able to finance medical costs.
2024 Now this is a year I can hardly remember because I was heavily focused on work, supporting my family (parents, two sisters, and their 3 kids) who were still recovering from Covid-blows, unemployed, or working for, what I dare to say, peanuts, and re-building my relationship with God. It's also a year I won't forget. By the end of the year, I got into a fight with one of my sisters (who moved in with my parents and me after she divorced her husband). And this is where I experienced first-ass (not hand) what it means to be somewhere where I'm welcome only because I have money (or at least everyone thought I did have money).
Q1+Q2 2025 The fight I had with my sister ended up with my dad asking me to move places by summer 2025. So I did. I'm not naturally a proudful person, and I was already homeless, hungry, and abandoned when I was in my 20's, but I took those words with pride and anger. Anger because I spent roughly 80k euro supporting my whole family, paying the bills, car repairs, while financing my own needs (health expenses), and dealing with emotional trauma because the girlfriend I was with for 7+ years, and whom I've thought I'd marry and have kids with - left me. Alright, blow after blow. But I kept standing on my own feet. And I moved in July 2025. Thought I'd focus on work, health, faith, and make enough money to buy a house, start my own business, grow my own food (you know, livestok, veggies, and fruits) and find a normal girl I'd marry and have kids with. My original dream isn's something most CT people dream of (you can read it here: (https://t.co/c2qxzoVemW ). I don't care about fancy places, sports cars, expensive watches, I don't have the desire to travel, and by no means am I interested in drugs and sexual pleasure outside of a serious relationship/marriage (yeah, I'm that conservative/traditional). Now, it still hurts knowing that I could've achieved a large portion of what I was dreaming about was I saving money for myself, and not wasting it to support other who actually didn't need help that much (at least not for so long).
Q3 2025 Well, in July (I know that's not Q3) I've met a girl I thought was the right one. And it was fun while it lasted. Or until the facade started falling off. Turns out the "right girl" is a former alcohol addicted to sex and benzodiazepines, with a twisted persona when drunk (yeah, she started drinking again) prone to aggression. It was all under control (precisely, I kept being an idiot and was convincing myself that everything's gonna be alright) until end of October.
Oct 2025 - present time So, in late October something really bad happened and the girl and I ended up having an argument, which ended up with me calling the police after she started being aggressive. Just to have her file a lawsuit against me, claiming I've done things I haven't done (most of what she claims is already dismissed by the court). By that time, I spent all of my savings, and had to start selling my personal possessions. And ask friends to lend me money for (and I'm not proud or happy to say this publicly) rent, food, attorney expenses etc. I won't name them publicly, but I know a day will come when I'll be able to repay all favors. I was absent here on Twitter (and many have noticed that), and unable to work as I was in shock after what happened (do note: I don't have any criminal record, no police records, and have never even been to a police station or court prior to this mess). I was drunk all November long, and all I wanted is to sleep and disappear. And then I got mad at myself.
Where am I at now?
Spiritually - healed. I don't waste my time thinking about people that have hurt me and I like to believe they did that with no intention, but out of ignorance and confusion (or badly developed life mechanisms).
Physically - looking ok. I passed the ergonomic test. I didn't go to a neurologist tho because of reasons. No seizures. Panic attacks (I had quite a number of in November and December) are gone. Antidepressants - never took them although I got a prescription. I'm not depressed, I'm just disappointed. Alcohol - trimmed down. But I do like to crack a Guinness or two from time to time.
Court? Got one in 9 days. Looking solid, attorney is a Chad. Everything should be alright. I don't think of it that much, but definitely want it to end asap so I can be fully stress-free with regards to that.
Work? Just started again. And I'll keep working as much as possible (unless I wanna die of starvation).
Romance? Well, I never gave up on getting married and having kids. So there's that. All in due time, God willing.
Financially? ATL, struggling. But I'll get back on my feet. Not the first time I was in trouble. Probably not the last time either. P.S. thanks to friends who helped me (literally) stay alive. God bless you, guys.
What am I going to do in this situation?
I think I've learned my lessons (I'll write about that later and give tips to anyone who needs them). The last couple years have been a mess, with the last 3 months something I call the "hard reset". It is what it is. I suffered enough, analyzed things over and over again, and have come to the conclusion that: I will work as hard as possible. I will get healthy again. I will unfuck whatever anyone (especially myself) has fucked up in my life. I will reach my goals. If the situation is right and I have the resources, then I'll start a business (be it drawing, growing tomatoes (not kidding), or marketing I believe I could do outside of CT, knowing that the region I live in is polluted by fake people shilling trash, and that there's no proper educational content that is really needed, especially now MiCA regulations are on). will find the right girl, get married, and have kids with. And with the real one, I'll build a house and create an ecosystem combined of family, love, nature, animals, and self-sustainability. And don't get me wrong, but I honestly hate what this world has become. The only other option I have is, to fail. And that is one I never took or gripped to.
Advice for everyone (based on what I went through)
Take good care of yourself, every single day. And always, at all costs, be honest towards yourself and others. It is the only right way if you want to achieve real peace and satisfaction (in the long run).
Never ever overcommit yourself in any way possible to other people. Not even your parents. The only people you should and have to care about with maximum effort and sacrifice are: you and your partner (and kids, if you have them). In the end, it will be only you and your partner because kids grow and they go away.
Hold your friends close to you. Some people in here have saved my life, and they know it. Real friends are a rarity. Even if it's just one real friend.
Work hard, and work smart. One doesn't exclude the other, and vice versa. This is where you can and should overcommit (given that it doesn't ruin your health).
DYOR, but not just crypto. DYOR is applicable to everything in life. If you meet a guy/girl you want to build a romantic relationship with, never cease to ask questions until you feel that you are sure that you can build something with that person. If your choice is good, then you're blessed. If it's bad, then you'll end up in court with a fun little lollipop triple-dipped in psycho.
Take care of your health. Once you lose it, it's difficult to regain. Be it teeth, skin, kidneys or whatever. Your body is something you're responsible for.
Avoid all drugs. None of them are good, whatever story one tells you. And on alcohol - be moderate. You don't have to become Chris smashing drywall with his fist if you're going to drink.
Don't be greedy. Remember my port's ATH? I lost it because of greed, gambling on memecoins, shitcoins, and overhyped "projects" I didn't do my research on.
Don't be afraid or ashamed to ask for help if you need it. Same as others have helped me, so to have I helped others. It can be just a conversation. And it can change the direction you've turned your head to. Isolation never saved anyone.
Pray. Because there's a God. And He does care.
There's probably more. I write way less than I think. Maybe I'll write more often about these things because I see there's a lot of young people in here, and way more inexperienced people. And trust me, you don't want to make the mistakes I've done.
I hope this post isn't going to be seen as a mental breakdown, a desperado move, or me seeking attention, and that ti won't backfire or even ruin my CT status. On attention, I'll be the happiest once I reach my goals, pay my debts, and move to a small village with 30 inhabitants, somewhere where I can build a little house and grow food.
If you want to talk, my DMs are open. If you want to help me move faster, or support any of my ideas, you can do so via connections or donations (addy somewhere in my X profile). If you want, you can also go full-Rambo on me, cuss, insult, tell me to go fuck myself, question me, be rude. You can also be kind, say a good word, give advice, contact me if you have work for me. You can be whatever you want to be, just be you.
And I'll be me.
P.S. I'll edit my profile and go full-doxxed. Might even change my X handle. You'll see.
God bless you all. Especially you who've read this post I tried to keep as short as possible.
