448 Government school students clearing JEE Mains is more than a result - it is the quiet revolution of the Dravidian Model unfolding in classrooms across Tamil Nadu.
When leadership believes that education is the strongest instrument of social justice, doors that were once closed begin to open. Under the visionary guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru @mkstalin, and through our collective commitment to strengthening government schools and Model Schools, students who once stood outside the gates of premier institutions are now walking in with confidence.
Praveen (99.53), Naresh (99.50) and Velmurugan (99.42) - and every student who succeeded - represent a generation shaped by opportunity, equity and belief.
This achievement belongs to the students, their teachers, and a governance model that places people first.
The journey continues...

I’m a Gujarati. Born and brought up in Chennai.
Tamil is the language I heard on the streets. In buses. In shops. In friendships. In daily life.
It shaped me as much as Gujarati did. So when this debate comes up, I don’t see it as North vs South. I see it as respect vs entitlement.
Yes, Hindi matters. If you want to do business with the North, work there, travel there of course it helps. I use it too. No insecurity about that.
But there’s a difference between learning a language
and forcing a language. Forcing never builds unity. It only builds resistance.
The South doesn’t have “one language”. It has many. Each with centuries of history, poetry, emotion, identity.
These languages won’t die in one generation. They’ll die slowly. When people stop valuing them. When children stop hearing them. When others refuse to learn them.
And that’s how cultures disappear.
If I choose to live in Tamil Nadu,
do business here, build my life here… then learning Tamil isn’t “adjustment”.
It’s gratitude. It’s saying….This place gave me opportunity. I’ll give it respect.
India was never meant to sound the same everywhere.
Our power is in our accents.
Our scripts. Our stories.
Many languages. One country.
That’s civilisation.
Still, there is no clarity on De-freezing Tamilnadu New line projects like Tindivanam-Tiruvannamalai, Chennai-Cuddalore & Erode-Palani.
Kindly,de-freeze it ASAP just like you did for WB & KL Projects,so that these long-pending essential projects can be executed @AshwiniVaishnaw
2. However, development cannot progress without cooperation. For ongoing railway projects, only 24% of required land has been handed over: 1,052 ha out of 4,326 ha.
₹1,465 crore has already been paid to the Tamil Nadu Government for land acquisition. Several critical projects are delayed due to pending land acquisition with the State Government.
Fiction cannot replace facts.
The Union Government denies Tamil Nadu its due railway projects in the Budget and then shifts blame onto the State for delays.
I have written to Hon’ble PM placing the facts on record: land acquisition is largely complete, while delays persist due to pending fund releases and approvals from the Railways.
I have urged prompt action to revive stalled projects and strengthen rail infrastructure for the mutual benefit of the State and the Nation.
