๐Bubble Bee!! My submission for this weekend's #GMTKJam I love how the visuals came out, thanks to @clayxels and @AmplifyCreates - I learned a ton about shaders and quaternionsโ It controls a bit jank at times, but I love so many things about it <3 #madewithunity#indiedev
Continuing my journey into @godotengine with my first 3D project. Pleasantly surprised that the 3D support in Godot is not nearly as terrible as people like to describe it - it's...fine? Yes, this is the car-is-a-sphere-rolling-around trick again. Model by @KayLousberg#gamedev
Godot has tons of nodes packed with time-saving features.
That's great, but as a result, it takes ages to learn them all.
You have to spend weeks looking for tutorials from many sources to only learn some.
That's why we created Godot Node Essentials.
๐Thread.
Nothing major or visual to show off this #screenshotsaturday but I'll be posting major updates over on YouTube and I'll share a discord so you can get faster updates and maybe do some testing.

Also I've been experimenting with adding a slight/subtle roll to the camera. Would love to get some thoughts/feedback. Included clip below with roll added.
Hi, I'm Andrea, I'm a synth addict, I put synth-looking devices wherever I can, even in games that have nothing to do with synths, like this one, which is out tomorrow:

Thank you for sharing, Andrea. ๐๏ธโ๏ธ
@lexiamandeville I've been planning out a game that tacked on rogue like elements, but I think a lot of that may be because I've felt like I had to? But, the point on "games that end" has got me thinkin..
@AlexStrook I usually just fix the rig unless they have some sort of reason for the rig to be a specific way. I'd communicate that their rig is doo-doo-feces, and that if they want an animation I have to fix it.
