Can we have the same key mapped to two macros in Windows and Mac modes?

I have Kinesis Advantage2 keyboard.
I map `End` key to `Copy` action and `Home` key to `Paste` action.

But in Windows mode, `Copy` action is `ctrl+c`
and in Mac mode it is `Cmd+c`

My 6yo daughter: Pappa, what does "K-N-I-T" mean?
Me: It is pronounced as "N-I-T" and "K" is silent.
Her: Then why don't they remove "K"?
Me: Because the "K" is shy!

Also, me in mind: Backward compatibility. If they remove "K", the English language will crash.
