Agriculture Graduates of J&K continued their peaceful protest for 17th consecutive day as they demand revocation of draconian and unfair recruitment policies (SRO-433 and SRO-442 of J&K APD) that has completely blocked and affected the recruitment against entry level Gazetted and Non-Gazetted technical posts from last 2 decades. The protesters seek fair and equal opportunity for these entry level posts and referral of vacancies to JKPSC and JKSSB and end the decades long freeze on recruitment process.

As our protest enters #Day9. We refuse to let our hard earned degrees become symbols of a system that denies us opportunity. You froze the vacancies, but you cannot freeze our voice. You can delay recruitment, but you cannot silence a generation that has waited long enough. Our degrees, our years of hard work, and our future cannot be kept hostage. We will keep raising our voice peacefully, firmly, and relentlessly until justice is done.

Day 7 of our protest, and our resolve remains stronger than ever.
We continued our peaceful protest against the unfair and irrational recruitment rules for entry-level technical posts in the Agriculture Production Department and the freezing of recruitment against vacancies for nearly two decades.
In the evening, we held a candlelight march to mark the injustice faced by skilled and qualified youth. Seven days on, our voice remains firm: we demand fair recruitment, transparency, and justice.

DAY 8: STILL STANDING, STILL FIGHTING.
Eight days of peaceful protest. Eight days of patience, resolve and an unanswered call for justice.
Our demands remain clear. Our resolve remains stronger. We will not step back until our voices are heard.

DAY 7. STILL HERE. STILL UNMOVED.
Seven days of peaceful protest, but our resolve only grows stronger.
Revoke SRO-433 & 442. Fill the vacant posts. Fix the recruitment system.
Our patience is not our weakness. We will not step back.@JavedDar_NC@CM_JnK@OfficeOfLGJandK@OmarAbdullah
🚨 Attention 🚨
DAY 5: STILL STANDING, STILL WAITING, STILL DEMANDING ANSWERS.
Five days of peaceful protest. Five days of making the same legitimate demand heard. But the larger question remains: how long will qualified Agriculture professionals be expected to wait for what should be a normal and transparent recruitment process?
We have exhausted representations, meetings and assurances. We cannot keep sacrificing years of our careers to an endless cycle of promises. Our qualifications are not the problem. Our willingness to serve is not the problem. What we need is a system that provides genuine opportunities and a clear path forward.
To the Government and every public representative of J&K: this is the moment to act. Stand with Agriculture professionals, raise our concerns and push for concrete, time-bound action.
Day 5. Our protest remains peaceful. Our demand remains legitimate. And our resolve remains unshaken. 🌾✊

Five days on the streets, and our resolve has only grown stronger. We are not asking for favours, we are demanding justice, accountability, and our rightful opportunity to serve J&K’s agriculture sector.
The government cannot keep thousands of qualified Agriculture Graduates waiting indefinitely. Revoke SRO-433 & SRO-442. Restore direct recruitment. Open the doors of the Agriculture Department to the very graduates it needs.
We will stand. We will speak. And we will not be silenced. @GreaterKashmir@Kashmir_Reader@RisingKashmir #Day5 #AgricultureGraduates #JKAgriculture #RevokeSRO433 #RevokeSRO442
“Open Recruitment Opportunities for Agriculture Graduates, Review Existing Cadre Policy”: AIP
Srinagar, Sept 25: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi today called upon the Jammu and Kashmir Government to address the long-pending recruitment concerns of agriculture graduates and review the existing recruitment structure affecting the Agriculture cadre.
Inam Un Nabi said that there has been no recruitment in the Gazetted Agriculture cadre for nearly 20 years, while recruitment in the Non-Gazetted cadre has remained largely absent for around a decade, creating serious difficulties for qualified agriculture graduates seeking entry into government service.
He said the entry-level Non-Gazetted post has been kept under 100% promotional quota, leaving agriculture graduates with virtually no direct entry at that level. At the Gazetted level, only 20% quota has been earmarked for direct recruitment, which, according to the graduates, further restricts opportunities for professionally qualified youth.
“Qualified agriculture graduates cannot be expected to wait indefinitely for an opportunity to enter the government service. The recruitment structure needs to be examined objectively, vacancies identified and a regular recruitment mechanism put in place,” Inam Un Nabi said.
He urged the concerned authorities to review the existing quota and recruitment framework, fill vacant posts through a transparent recruitment process and provide adequate avenues of direct recruitment for agriculture graduates.
“Agriculture is a key sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s economy. Strengthening the department also requires strengthening its professional human resources. The legitimate concerns of agriculture graduates deserve serious consideration by the government,” he said. @inamnabi
