The panel I most wanted to see happen, and it delivered. What does "good" actually look like in longevity medicine? Four clinicians who practice very differently, in one room, willing to disagree in public: @HillaryLinMD , Rich Joseph, @SumeraBukhari and Reena Bhargava. @Marianna Zaslavsky @MariZazzer moderated and was absolutely spectacular.
Thank you to @BernardSiegel and Melissa King of the @HealthspanAct, and Joe Krieger of @biolife_boston , who built this summit. And to everyone I got to learn from across five days, including @CamilloRicordi , Robert Sackstein, Jeanne Loring, Greg Fahy, @aubreydegrey , @HeWei16027 , Sumit Nagpal, Edward Philips, Anmol Kapoor, and many more!
The science is moving fast. The harder question, and the one this week kept returning to, is what it takes to get any of it to an actual patient. #Longevity #Healthspan #LongevityMedicine #TranslationalMedicine #BostonLongevityWeek
@snakagawa_md @DrKCI8 Saw this happen during a goals of care discussion I was part of today. An amazing hospitalist who has done palli training perfectly summarized my long-winded, overly-complex statements and helped the family make a decision. Shout-out to @SumeraBukhari.
@JohnTorousMD@statnews@mariojoze This article got it wrong. Right now adjunctive Rx for MDD have comparable efficacy on MADRS. This newly approved digital therapeutic showed 2.12 point improvement over control while Vraylar, the atypical antipsychotic with its its host of side effects, had 0.9 to 2.5 reduction.
